I downloaded my music to my new phone and did everything correct selected the music file made a full rescan worked fine rescaned again from the menu to get my recent songs that i downloaded now it wont play my music dont get this app save your money get a better app than this one if you have so much as 300 or more of your favorite music saved that you spent days downloading dont download this app cause it will erase all that music whether its on the sd card or internal storage it will erase

The best music player ever! I had been using google play music and the default music player in my phone for the past 4 years, and it was all a normal experience. But after getting a new phone and recent updates, the play music would hang a lot and stop playing music for some reason. That's when i tried the Poweramp trial. Just loved everything about the app.. The customisation, the user experience and added bonus features! Everything​ about this app is fantastic!! 5 stars for such a brilliant music player.. im sure you wouldn't stop using this once you try the trial version..!

This music player is amazing and puts all other music players to shame! Everything is organized beautifully and the album artworks are always clear and crisp images. Amazing sound clarity and equalizer/tuner options. The best feature IMO Is the ability to crossfade between songs - continuous music with no awkward pause when you skip! The only negative IMO is the lack of a 'Go To' 'artist', 'album', or 'playlist' option while listening to songs. If you can spend the $, this music player is worth it.

It's the best music player for Android in my opinion but there are at least two issues that I would like to see resolved. First issue is when playing a song (player view) the action of pressing the back button on the phone, results getting out of the app instead of going to the album/song list. The second one is that the app puts two albums together if they have the same name, example (Run by Awolnation and Run by Alice Wonderland), so in my album view this results in one single album from two artists

Needed a lightweight music player with decent equalizer and gapless playback. This app performs well and sounds awesome. Two issues though. Firstly on my galaxy s5 lock screen it more often than not displays incorrect song progress and times. And secondly is there an option to fully close down the app because I've noticed when I exit out it can continue to stay active and drain my battery and inserting headphones continues playback which I often use for hands free while driving.

I tend not to buy apps as there are so many free ones to choose from, but you better believe I paid full price for this app! It is without equal in the android realm of audio players, and everything is easy and intuitive. Great work guys, this is one of those special apps that is actually completely worth buying..... You won't be disappointed. The only complaint I have is that there isn't a version for Windows yet. This is the best app you will buy this year, or any other gear.

Pretty great music player but could do with chromecast support and being able to export playlists with the option for file type ( current is m3u8 and barely any other android players can read it). Not having these features makes the app feel a little dated in a way seeing as most stock android players can either support chromecast or have a play to feature. Other than that its a great app would highly recommend to anyone

Was looking for updated player. I came across this. I last updated rating in 2011.. 2 smartphones ago...lol. Still use this app every day, and I have convinced several others to purchase this app. Phenomenal music player. Best of the best. I would like to see headphone customization. There are so many high end ear buds now, each with their own tweaks. I have SOL REPUBLIC. I wish the volume rocker worked. I can only pause music, and music startup and off at headphone unlpug. Thanks for your time.

This is easily the best music player for Android. I bought the full version ages ago and haven't regretted it since. Excellent control of tone. Works excellently with my Sony BT headphones (MDR-ZX550BN if anyone is wondering), and not all music apps did. Super reliable, never crashes. Keeps my library well organized. Used this on Nexus 5, Nexus 7 2013, and my old HTC Desire Z, and before that Desire C, all without issues! So basically I've used it in Android 3, 4, 5 and now 6 without issues! Amazing!

Like another user, I have a Sony Xperia compact Z5 and after the most recent android update I can longer hear anything, even with the volume turned up. All my other music apps work fine. I only bought this app a few days ago, but am considering refunding if this issue is not fixed soon. Normally this is a great app with so much functionality. Please fix the audio issue.

Got my S4 updated to 5.0.1 Lollipop and Poweramp not working as expected. It stops playing when there is a notification. The Sleep timer doesn't work as it turns off the player in a min or 2 when set. Also license issue as it was telling to purchase it but luckily this bug was there was a couple of days only.. If all the above bugs are resolved then its really worth 5stars app as earlier it was..

Here are some things that could make this music player better: 1. Let's start with an exit button, all apps should have one! 2. On the artist section there should be an option for picture cover for each artist instead of just a dull list. 3. The UI needs to be streamlined to be more intuitive and is in need of a new modern design. Aside from that this music player is without a doubt amongst the best in overall performance, no complaints there.

The option in-app to save playlists constantly and randomly wipes playlists clean. When I contacted the app people about a fix they just told me to reinstall, which hasnt fixed the issue. On top of that there havr been about 3 times that Ive had to reinstall the application due to the app not reading any files. These issues persisted from my former cell a samsung onto my current HTC Incredible 4G LTE. Find a better app if you want to create playlists on your phone.

I have some pretty racy album art pics that I do not like on my lock screen. The band Die Antwoord, for example, has very racy nearly nude pics. One of the album art pics depict a woman on all fours with four breasts being milked by a machine. Doesn't bother me but I don't feel these types of images are work appropriate. Went through every option even calling Samsung to try to figure out how to remove them. Samsung said you cannot. Poweramp does it easily. Well worth a couple bucks.

Very good music player. Definitely worth to buy full version. It is the best ever amplified music, I can hear a clear difference using stock player and this player. And bought full version just because I can say thank you to developers. I tried a lot of music players but none worked as good as poweramp does. I wish, I could use this player systemwide so poweramp equalizer would apply for YouTube and browser audio. Even if this will require root. 10/10

Basically the app works fine until you connect to a Bluetooth car stereo. It allows you to connect but doesn't play no audio over Bluetooth. I've tried other music playing apps and they work fine. I am currently running the 7.0 beta for my s7 edge. Please release a fix for this asap. Thanks

Migrated to Android from iPhone and wasn't satisfied with Google Play as an alternative to iPod music app. Tried out various different Android music apps (including DoubleTwist) and Poweramp was the best by miles. Killer feature is the ability to import .m3u format playlists, which no other app out there seems to support. The look and UI of the app is also fantastically customisable which is a massive plus. Only thing missing is separate Library sections for Podcasts and Audiobooks, perfect otherwise.

Though in terms of use it is a great app- this is the second time I have had to purchase. After an update to the app or google play services the unlocker was removed and constantly came up as trial version. Except that it is low cost & have been using for a couple of years, and have all my playlists sorted there is absolutely no way i would have paid again. There was no record of my payment as it had been done through my husbands paypal acc, even though it had been via the app.

Went through a lot of hassle to buy this app. Had to get a new Idea Sim just to be able to pay for this app, here in India. Google Play Store only accepts credit cards and certain debit cards. If not for the problems in making payments, we would be buying a lot more apps in India. Coming to the app, it is amazing how the beta version 3.0 has improved. All the features are carefully planned out to enhance listening experience. Keep up the good work MaxMP. You guys rock!

But after my gs3 updated to kit kat the ear bud controls are wacky. I can't just simply double click to forward and triple to go back a song I mean it works, SOMETIMES but It gets all buggy and the volume goes waaaay low and I have to pause for a minute and click play for it to be normal volume again. Seems like my song list reshuffles after that happens too. I'll go back a song and its a completely different song. Fix?

This is the best music player. I bought this so I could play songs off my micro SD card, which it does perfectly. It seems like I find new features all the time. This morning I found the Metadata editor, which is something I previously did with a separate app. The automatic album covers are great. My only problem with the app is that it occasionally mixes up icons, i.e. the play button has the icon of the next song button. Other than that, this is the perfect music player. It was worth every cent.

I purchased Poweramp last year immediately after downloading the trial. It is an excellent app and I've explored nearly every feature they've had to offer. I recently got a new phone and downloaded the trial and unlocker to my phone. For some reason, even when I'm using Wi-Fi, Poweramp cannot verify my license and I'm unable to use it due to an error contacting server. In the past I would use this app daily as I listen to my music constantly. This issue must be resolved. Thanks.

Android L (5.0) Nexus 6. I recently dropped Neutron Music player to pick back up Power Amp. It is such a reliable music player and it looks very very nice with my darker colored Nexus. Not sure why people want to force on an update to the looks when the skins are ALL OVER the darn store. You don't like the look? Download a skin for it. I love the Vanilla Power Amp but then again I like most simple darker apps. My only complaint is the unlocker does not hide itself in the apps drawer.

This app would have received 5 stars if you could save your playlists to the SD card. I had over 2000 songs in over 150 playlists all nice and labelled, my phone crashed. I was able to get all my downloaded songs but all my playlists were gone. Those playlist took me at least 24 combined hours to create. Playlist creators beware!!!

This is still the best player for Android. I wrote my original review for PA in mid 2011! This is my 3rd review, last one was in 2014. Been on the beta builds for about a year now. Things haven't changed: PA is still the best... Feature rich, glitch-free, PA is as close as you will get to having old school Winamp with Stereo Tool (and Perfect Declipper) running (on a PC of course). Love the inclusion of Milk. The support for new devices is top notch. Keep up the good work!!

My observations. 1) This is the best music player I found after a lot of research. 2) I did a 1 hr experiment on battery consumption on this and other players by playing continuous music. Result: This player has drained 4% less battery than other players 3) It directly opens your folders having music files. 4) UI is very simple and powerful to adjust Bass/Treble/Stereo. 5) Very user friendly. BUT this does not play Videos...I suggest Developers to INCLUDE VIDEO PLAY CAPABILITY ALSO.

The BEST MP3 player available! Instantly gathers and embeds album art for your library. Not just the modern ones, finds the vintage hard to find ones too. I'm sold on this app and delighted that I came across it while looking for ID3 tag editors. Great at retrieving lyrics instantaneously with free plugin as well. Superb sound. 1 suggestion would be to add more sound effect options; depth reverberation etc... GREAT JOB GUYS !

I've tried plenty of music playing apps and meddled with so many equalizers, but none are as amazing as Poweramp. If you have Bluetooth headphones, this is the app to get. The developers got sound reproduction through the equalizer right on this app. You don't have to worry about the equalizer just muffeling or changing the volume to imitate a customized sound. This app actually changes the sounds of highs and lows effectively and works and sounds great. Even on Bluetooth headphones. Must buy.

I have been a music listeners from childhood. When I began to use PC, I tried various music players and finally stuck with jet audio. Since then I am big fan of players with good graphic equalisers. When I bought this phone I searched for a good music player finally I found poweramp. This is just awesome, it meets all my listening needs. includes a ten band eq section that let's you shape the sound to your liking and works super with high quality ear buds. This is better than any other music player bar none. Just increase the audio buffer size and you can throw any extreme eq setting at it with any major sound glitches. Even with out beats I highly recommend power amp for its sound quality and customization! 10 stars is what I really want to give!

I have been using power amp for five years. I have had many phones. Droids, lg, samsung, htc, Motorola. And every time i want songs of mine to sound full and have just the right bass and low end, and crossfades u cant get with the built in music player. So every smartphone i had ever owned i always download this software and will continue. To to do for all the future smart phone i get.

So with Android there is no itunes extra step and that was huge with me. I created my libraries/playlists on WMP and synced them. First time worked great. When I tried to update some Playlists, only the songs synced not the Playlist. I had to delete all music/album/playlist from the phone, make new WMP playlists and re-sync my phone. Also, once the playlists are on the phone, if you try to import the playlists, the app specifically mentions it won't import repeated playlists but guess what happened?

I have to say I've always used the default music player on Android and its been satisfactory, not great but wanted to be able to change eq setting and tweak it to sound better. I tried 3 others and only one came very close to Poweramp. But Poweramp had a few other tweaks I like so much better & being able to use it unlocked for 15 days sold me! Being able to use it fully without limitations let me verify that this would be great for me. This was my first ever! Been using Android since the beginning.

Outstanding music app with great Playlist features that makes it easy to build and sort your tracks. Headset/Bluetooth options are great and it scrobbles to last.fm. It's easy to edit tags and a breeze to get album artwork for tracks with the proper tags. The EQ is top notch and it there are a boatload of free skins on the play store. The only annoyance is that often the lockscreen widget is delayed when I turn on my screen. Definitely my favorite app of all time.

Stopped my search for an amazing music player with great widgets and quality totally worth it! But will be giving it four stars because it's mixing ringtones and notification sounds I downloaded from ZEDGE into my list. I delete them and they keep coming back. .. can't find a contact to get in touch to troubleshoot:(

Worth paying for. The only music App I have paid for and I don't like to spend money on my phone for junk. This player does almost everything I want. There is a lack of codex (wma lossless) but does more than most. No converter options either. Needs some visualizations to make it a total package. Great looks and optional skins. The audio eq and custom sound settings are what puts it over the top! Comparable to Windows Media Player. Sounds great and works smooth. 4.5 stars. Thanks for an awesome App!

I love the equalizer on this app but unfortunately my phone is running out of memory and I have been needing to resort to streaming music in order to keep open space in my memory. I have the Navy Blue 32GB Droid Turbo and storage is becoming an issue. Getting to my point, it would be amazing if the developers could integrate control of other music streaming apps via PowerAmp. I use Car Home Ultra and it has that capability but I'd rather much rather have the UI and equalizer from the this company. Thanks!

I am an audiophile and the quality of this app is second to none. Graphics are clean, audio reproduction is astounding and the ten channel EQ is unsurpassed. There are two things though, the volume is twitchy when you are adjusting it and its kinda hard to make playlists. A further note; they should make the EQ work even if you arent playing music through the app, that way you can stream music with the kind of quality this app provides. Overall, perfect This app should come native with all android devices.

First, I need the deep bass. Frecuency of tone/ effects bass is too high. Second, UI player need improvement on landscape view. Too many space which can be improve. I think is good if you put Album cover in center/right/left and you add more tiny thumbnail of previous and next song on right and left side. Please think again about my opinion, its just for more experience by PowerAmp. Thank you

Best audio player on Android, even the best between other Paid audio player too.. it also support with my custom ROM i've used which include Dolby and SRS Effect and both of them enabled on this Equalizer. So the output was very loud and clear enough with powerfull Bass and wideness of Surround combined by Stereo X with Dolby Effects. Never regret 4 bucks i've spent. Gr8 Job!!
