Simple Text Editor for Android
I am visually impaired and am using this on a device called BrailleNote Touch, where everything can be shown to me in Braille. This app is extremely accessible and will definitely recommend it to other people using the BrailleNote Touch. Thanks for creating such a useful app. The only thing I could say that could be improved is that when I try to write to a usb drive, it says "file can not be written". Thanks again for creating such a great app!
I've been using this app since last year and love it, but auto save and a word count function (I can't code JavaScript to save my life so I don't know the logistics) would be perfect. Maybe you could do a 'pro' or paid version that includes them. I don't know how hard it is to add keyboard shortcuts, but being able to hit Ctrl+s and save the file would be good. I try and remind myself to save constantly, but I have forgotten a few times.
I like it so far, except that the tap-scrolling is very stiff and it's hard to get back up to the top! Am still testing this, so far this is my only complaint. I'm hopeful. Update: I don't care if it's a little stiff.
I tried lots of Notepad apps this fits my requirements perfectly. Quick any easy to jot something down and save it. Able to manage files across folders. You can choose file formats.
No autosave when switching away from the app, the app opens with a blank file while only displaying the name of the last opened file, and Swype somehow cannot auto insert spaces between words (on android 4.42). I do like that you can choose the color of the text and background.
Glad I finally found a simple text editor with no ads and it's even open source. Current version DOES allow to choose the location to save: just use the Android's back button.
It would be nice if this app told Android that txt files can be opened in this app. Whenever I tap a txt file, this app is not an option for opening it.
For some reason I can't understand, SwiftKey keyboard stops word predictions when I am on this app. Hence deleting it. Thx
I love the minimal permissions required and the minimal size. It has all the basics I really need, except one. I can't use Swype on the keyboard with this app, and that's a deal breaker.
I like this application because there is ablility to open, edit, and save text files. Thanks to developers.
Ryan Good . Small . Simple. But it does not have UNDO OR REDO and no SEND or SHARE in the menu . Please add them .
Please don't make the keyboard pop up when scrolling the text. The keyboard covers have the display.
Does not save edited docs
best app you will ever find in play store
Simple yet effective and user friendly software
Well... It's pretty good if you ask me
It is best note pad to me.
... Thanks dev.
Love the simplicity and ease of use.
Simple and small, good.
Great app!
Cant save files, says file not found even when i browse to the sd card location. Worthless! I hope the developer is going bankrupt. Loser.
Great app - I have used it for years and been quite pleased with it, but in a fit of stupidity Android / Galaxy 7 developers decided to eliminate the "menu" button, rendering this app unable to save files. I blame Google and/or Samsung, but unless you can add your own menu feature I'll have to find a new text editor. :-(
Never opens. Tried many times, will never try again.
2016-03-08 It handles the basics. Had trouble saving at first, it seems to need to go through the emulator instead of just selecting the location you want. Not very intuitive, but it wasn't hard to figure out. I'll update more later when i get some time in on it.
I have been installing and using Android apps for about 5 years now. This is the most useless app I have ever installed. Besides being barely able to read a text file, it does absolutely nothing else on my Samsung Note 4.
Cant save files, says file not found even when i browse to the sd card location. Worthless! I hope the developer is going bankrupt. Loser.
*There is no read mode feature. *If this app cant show my sdcard, i use "clear data" in Phone setting menu to normalize it.
The perfect minimalist design. Edit: An update? I thought dev was gone forever!
Perfect app to edit text files. With minimalistic features.
Never opens. Tried many times, will never try again.
Needed to open dosbox .conf files.
Loved it on old phone. Now "can not write file" every time
Edits, selects, saves and even searches perfectly.
Tends to crash. No autosave. 20 minutes of notes erased.
Couldn't save, or open old files
I am looking for it. Thanks friend !!!!!!!!
Nice
No menu and crashes on exit...

I love this App. It does everything I want it to do. It is just as if I am on my desktop computer. The only "BIG PROBLEM" it has is, "When saving files, it does not allow you to choose the Directory and Folders where you want to save your files". Developer, please fix this MAJOR problem to make life easy for us.
