Waqia e Karbala

Waqia Karbala is an important incident in the Islamic calendar as Waqia Karbala took place on 10th muharram, in the year 61 A H of the Islamic calendar in Iraq. The battle took place between a small group of the supporter and relatives of Muhammad’s grandson Husain RA ibn ali and a larger military detachment from the forces of Yazid I, the Umayyad caliph. The battle was end with the shahadat of Muhammad’s grandson, hussain ibn ali and the beloved family members of the hussain. After battle of Karbala, Umar ibn Sa'ad captured family of Hussain and sent Hussain's head and the killed persons to ibn Ziyad in Kufa on Ashura afternoon. Then, Hussain's family and head of the killed persons were moved to the Levant by the forces of Yazid.
