This is a plugin for Tasker or Locale, it is not a standalone app.
If you don't use Tasker or Locale, this app is not for you.
This plugin allows you to switch between the current app and the last app you've used.
It's a powerful action that makes multitasking a breeze; think of "Alt-Tab" for Android devices.
There's a Tasker action for this (App -> Load Last App) but is disabled on most devices, see screenshot #3.

- long press on home screen key (Event -> UI -> Assistance Request )
- A flip gesture or a shake

...as other raters have noted, this stopped working when I was upgraded to 5.0 (against my will, thanks Samsung). I had it tied to an All-In-One gesture as well as a Tasker shake gesture, and it worked wonderfully! 3 stars because the devs made such an amazing plugin without succumbing to the temptation of overbloating it with unnecessary crap like other plugin devs. If you still haven't been forcefully upgraded to 5.0 (you lucky dog, you), then I highly recommend this plugin!

Certainly a nice idea for a plugin, and apparently used to work well. But even 6 months after folks mentioning non-Lollipop functionality (still the case), we're now onto Android Marshmallow. Has this plugin been abandoned?
