Wicked Smart Baby

Wicked Smart Baby is an educational app designed for children between one and two years of age. The app consists of two slideshows, one of which teaches animals and their sounds and one of which teaches basic shapes.

While the shape slideshow depicts basic shapes for the child to identify, the animal slideshow displays images of animals and a button that can be used to play the sound of the animal shown on each slide. The volume of these animal sounds can be controlled using the media volume setting on the phone or device.

Once started, both the animal slideshow and the shape slideshow automatically play slide-by-slide with a five-second delay between images, which can be increased or decreased via the Settings menu. When all slides have been displayed, each slideshow repeats from the beginning.

I developed this app for my one-year-old daughter because I was unsatisfied with similar apps that I found using the Play Store. The current functionality is a result of my observations of her behavior during her interactions with the app. She has a great time playing and learning using Wicked Smart Baby, and I hope your children will, as well!
