About Solar Time (alpha)

A suite of solar time widgets. Set a one time or repeating alarm to go off at a particular solar hour (ex. ten minutes before sunrise). Two clock widgets (polar and digital) that display the regular time and date as well as solar time and lunar date (Hebrew or Hijri). Includes daily pryaer times (Zmanim and Salat) and a Hebrew calendar agenda widget. It's still pretty rough in some ways, so please give me feedback about your experience.
The app uses your location data to determine the current solar time; your location is set to Jerusalem until your actual location can be calibrated. No internet connection is needed.

This suite of widgets works essentially as advertised, with minimal problems mostly relating to the polar clock, which does not function correctly. The numerical clock displays both local civil time (obtained from your device) and local apparent solar time (obtained from location data.) The latter, of course, only functions effectively during daylight hours. After sunset, but before civil midnight, the solar time displays as a kind of 'hour of the night' function. However, after civil midnight in your location, the time switches to 'countdown,' with negative hours displayed. The 'Prayer Time' widget occurs in three forms, depending on the lunar calendar chosen in the settings menu. If the Hebrew calendar is chosen, Zmanim times are displayed in Hebrew. If Islamic times are chosen, Salat times are displayed in Arabic. Finally, if no lunar calendar is chosen, this widget displays certain useful astronomical times: dawn, sunrise, solar transit, sunset, astronomical twilight, and solar midnight. All times are given in local time. Paired with the clock, it's a powerful tool. For a free app, it doesn't get much better. Recommended.
