Long Subtraction

Long Subtraction, by MATH Domain Development, lets you practice subtracting multi digit problems.

Unlike other apps that focus only on the final answer, Long Subtraction requires input showing knowledge of the borrowing process. What happens when a digit needs to borrow? What happens to the "lender" and the "borrower"? How do you borrow from zero? Learn when and how to borrow by answering an unlimited number of questions.

Problems are divided into 3 "Levels":
Level 1 - Includes 2 digit minus 1 digit problems. This level is available from the start.
Level 2 - Includes 2 digit minus 2 digit problems. This level needs to be unlocked by answering a specific number of questions from Level 1.
Level 3 - Includes 3 digit minus 3 digit problems. This level needs to be unlocked by answering a specific number of questions from Level 2.

Currently, there are 2 main areas:

In the Practice Area:
- All question are randomly generated.
- You are guided through each step by the auto-enabling/disabling of portions of the keyboard and auto-selection of digits.
- There is visual feedback.
- Verbal feedback can be turned on/off. (some devices may not support this feature)
- Vibration feedback can be turned on/off for incorrect input. (some devices may not support this feature)

The Data Area shows:
- Total number of answered question for each Level.
- Total number of errors for each Level.
- Types of errors for each Level: Calculation, Borrower, Lender.
- Errors per question answered for each Level.

As levels are unlocked you can choose to randomly generate problems from one specific level or from two or more levels.
