iReal Pro - Music Book & Backing Tracks

This app is awesome. So much easier to practice with my phone as opposed to my computer. Support is great as well. I emailed them when I had an issue with installing on my device, they responded within 24 hours and solved my problem. I highly recommend this app.

For some reason the app is lagging severly, so I cant get songs to play normally. Will update when this is fixed

Great app for learning standard, the only thing I would change is the limit of only being able to play a progression 30 times. 100 would be way better!

Fantastic app for someone starting out playing jazz. All the standards are there and you can use it as a backing Track to explore the song on your own. Really recommend it

Easy to use and handy, a must have for all working musicians. Forget changing pages during the gig and carrying a bigass stock of paper, the future is here!

I used to love this app and still use it. Lately however it has a noticeable lag, which as a professional musician, is not exceptable. Also, when the app is indicating which chord is being played it often gets off. This is frustrating when I'm helping my students.

When I go to Forum on the new update I get Bad Command that all http pages need to be https pages when I add the s I'm blocked from the page anyway. What's going on?

Ok so... When I play a track it gives off a lot of reverb and it just loads all weird..? I hope you guys can fix this issue. It's a great app overall. Just some major issues.

Great app, and the most enjoyable part of my practice routine. I had problems with the latest update but the support team were great and I had everything running again the same day.

After the new update it crashes just before it counts down to start playing, around 50% of the time

I tried this app to accompany live piano at a gig. I downloaded the Pop 400 playlist, and selected several songs by such artists as the Beatles and Chuck Berry. Unfortunately, the drums often played inappropriate rhythms for the respective songs, and my changing of the beat usually made it worse. I think this product is a great idea, but it seriously needs improvement.

This is a great App and deserves 5 stars but the latest update changed the audio of the playback and now it sounds like it has added reverb which really distorts some of the instruments. If it's fixed it's definitely worth 5 stars edit: the issue fixed itself when I reset it to default settings. I'm not sure what changed but it's back to how it used to be. Great App 5 stars

This app was amazing to practice with until the latest update. Now the sound is bad enough that it is unusable. I don't recommend installing this app until they get it figured out again.

FIXED AUDIO! If everything sound with alot of echo, just go in your parameters and "reset all settings". The sound will be just as good as before!

Excellent. Always on point. Really cool on live gigs. I LOVE this app. Question: Why can't we add our own melodies? That would be nice....

I don't take the time to write reviews, but this app is worth it. It has all jazz standards you need and more, and you can write your own tunes and pay along as well. Well worth the money.

Used this app at a jam session was great.

Any plans to include off beat chords? That would be great!

Fantastic app! Use it as a song resource for rehearsal or gigs. Editing functions are fairly simple to learn so I can customize or create songs to my liking. I wish it had a better way to sync between devices. Moving all my customized songs from an old tablet to new tablet and phone is very tedious "sharing" one song at a time via email to myself. But still 5 stars and I've recommended iReal Pro to several people I regularly play with.

I would rate it 5 but the playback position has stalled. When I first got the app the playback position was a half beat in front of the next chord now it's that much behind. What's up? Other than that I enjoy it a lot, it's really helped my timing. Thanks 5 Star Baby! The update did the trick . Thanks awesome app and I would recommend it to pickers at all levels.

Super ! Would you please add in the next version a recognitionfor chord symbol "Aug". For ex: When i type C aug (mean augmented 5th ) should be played like C+ Can you please also add export audio directly to mp3 ?

Great app. Especially for novice. It helps you learn how to keep time, without the metronome making you crazy.

Pretty much incorrect changes on every tune. Makes you worse I promise. those tracks sound violently bad

This is a great app, and worth its weight in gold on jazz gigs. Please keep up the great work, and keep the focus on musicians who are using this app on gigs (rather than as a sequencer to practice with at home). While this function is also useful (with probably a much bigger potential market), it's as an on-the-gig repertoire aid (in any key) that iRP is unique. My tattered old Real Book collection is now in semi-retirement...

LOVE it. Extremely valuable app. I use it specifically for bluegrass (sometimes blues). Very well thought out. Type in a chord progression and a style (country, jazz, blues etc), and run! You can change the key and tempo, and loop it over and over. (There's a cool learning mode speeds up the tempo form one loop to the next. Brilliant). And you don't HAVE to create your own - there are tons of songs created by others and generously made available online - easy to download batches of them. Sometimes I find the interface a LITTLE ... "clunky" (not 100% intuitive) ... but you get used to it, and it's WORTH it. One of a small number of apps (not just music) that make up an indispensable core or apps on my phone.
