Birthday Cakes origin comes from ancient times but the cake was very different from what we have today. The word 'Cakes' said to have been invented in the early 13th century and is said to have originated from the word 'kaka' Old Norse language.

In Western culture Birthday Cake defined as a pastry or dessert served to someone on his birthday. The birthday cake is usually decorated with a person's name and carrying the message survived. Candles equal to the number of years a person has lived also placed on the cake. There is also a tradition to put one extra candle to bring good luck. The birthday cake is usually a sponge, and the most popular flavor in the cake was chocolate.
