Master of Go - baduk for Android
After a quick play around, app seems great, non of the authentication problems reported by other users earlier in the year. The big problem is that even the easy problems are too hard for me! (I'm 8k on KGS, so no beginner!) There's a couple of small niggles with the interface: the behavior of back button seems odd, even from within a problem it quits the app, it would be better if it stepped back though your moves or returned to the problems list; also it'd be handy if there were some dead-space to press to prevent screen timeout (in Gobandroid there's no buttons at the bottom, so I can just hit there when it starts to fade to black). But other than that it seems fine, but I can't really vouch for the quality of the problems, because I can't solve enough of them!
I paid for this app and I've rarely got to use it because when I start it up, it keeps telling me I'm not authorized and to pay for it and then just closes. It's VERY frustrating. I know it's only $1.50, but come on. I've gotten WAY better value with apps that are free.
I have bought the app but after the last update I get a lot of 'Authorization failed' messages. This is very frustrating. :(
can be slow sometimes
The UI is a straight iPhone port. That means your menu and back buttons are useless. In addition, it didn't remember that I wanted sound off; when I restarted, the sounds were back. Another problem is that as early as problem 3, I tried a move that worked fine (it was a forcing move that wouldn't have messed up the moves to win), but it was rejected by the program. Since I had only 15 minutes to get a refund, after seeing the UI problems and the problem with a correct sequence being rejected, I refunded.
This is a great app. There are problems in four categories, from easy to hard. I found even the "easy" ones to be worthwhile for my level (1k). User interface seems pretty good, and it does interact with you on most problems. The other nice feature is it has all sorts of problems, from life and death, to endgame, to connections, etc... When I posted about a flaw in the problem selection mode, the developer released and update that fixed it - the very next day! Well worth the .99 cents!
...got a black bar on the bottom of the screen and right of the board - which probably means it does not scale correctly to the screen of my phone (HTC Sensation).
Cool app , the problems are pretty difficult (no 30 k problems) english translation not very good, but understable. Please add more problems ...

Excellent amount and selection of problems. But, looked like garbage on my htc m8...blurry graphics and almost too large for my screen. Stones on edge were half cut off...had to refund. Looks excellent on my wife's iPhone but not android. Sloppy work and just pure laziness.
