About Clipboard + Notes
Clipboard + Notes (previously known as 'Clipboard Contents') is a simple clipboard manager which watches your clipboard for any changes and saves its contents for later use. Contents can be starred and labelled, as well as added manually, which makes the app a handy tool for note taking.
The contents from the clipboard history can be copied into the clipboard again, they can be edited, deleted, searched, and shared too. When sharing links they can be optionally shortened if URLy is installed. Any links in the contents will be quickly picked up and extra options will be available to open or share them directly from the device. HTTP and Market links are amongst the supported types.
Clipboard + Notes can be easily turned off from the settings if it is no longer needed, and its operation can be customised to match the user's needs. The clipboard collection is intelligently stopped when the device isn't being used any more, which makes it very battery-friendly.
In addition it integrates with the Android Quick Search Bar so you can directly search your clipboard history. It further integrates with Google's cloud backup and restore, so any time you wipe your device your contents and settings will be restored the next time you install the application (only works on Android 2.3+ and backup/restore must be enabled in the 'Privacy' settings for your device).
A little extra hand is at help too in case you would like to share to clipboard. The app supports this functionality as well, so just pick something to share, and select Clipboard + Notes from the window. The item you just shard will now have been copied into the clipboard.
If you have a Sony device you will be able to access the Clipboard Contents Small App from the Recents menu. It will allow you to easily save something to the contents, or even to the clipboard, without closing the app that you have currently open.
Notes:
* Third-party lockscreens may disable clipboard collection (email me if this happens).
* On rooted devices saving the clipboard on reboot/shutdown may not always work (please use the standard shutdown option).
* Samsung devices have known issues with setting and clearing the keyboard. Please report these to Samsung first.
* Small Apps functionality will only work for some devices. Please note that I can't decide which devices have this functionality, as it is entirely up to Sony.
Permissions explained:
* Start at boot - to start the service when the device starts up and to restore clipboard (both can be disabled in settings)
* Internet - for cloud backup/restore, billing, and advertisements (yes, development is partly ad-supported)
* Billing - for in-app purchases to remove ads as a way of supporting development
* Writing to external storage - for backing up and restoring contents using XML files

Very handy clipboard to use when saving links, short paragraphs of text etc. Great for keeping track of them with Labels and a Star system that makes important information stand out from the everyday stuff. I have 1 issue with this app. The option to turn off lock screen notifications doesn't work on my Sprint Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (SM-T237P). However, it's still a great replacement for the built-in clipboard...and much easier to access, too (swipe down from the top)!! To make it easy to use, go to Settings, then Look & Feel. Then, set the Click action to copy, Swipe right to delete, Swipe left to details, and Action menu to expanded. The Action menu shows up after pressing and holding an item. In the menu, you can share, edit, star (flag), label, or delete an item.

Now with backup and better menus I have paid for the ad-free version but please fix the share to facebook, it's always empty and Every few days the clipboard is empty, its just done it again so I lost all my saves from last week. Please please add a proper way to backup, either to Ssd or fix the cloud back up, been over a year and still broken ????

I've been using this app for years now and it's one of the first things I get on my phone. Definetly worth buying a cup of coffee for "no ads", purchased a long time ago... Always available from pull up or drop down status bar with list of most important, recent notes that can be opened and copied then inserted as text in a couple clicks and 2 seconds.

The x mark up above too easily erases clips. Also if you save a note clip then SWITCH app focuses the clip does not get saved. The app should b marketed as a note clip saver. The app makes search finds but one cannot make select all results selections of clips and erase. Just some observations but the app is very useful, merge love it.

So far so good. As my phone has no clipboard built in..this app appears to allow me to save to clipboard and access data other than alot of files that stall my attempts to access data I wished to keep... Nice and thanks much appreciated.

...It wasn't quite my style. I'd prefer not to have a persistent notification to access my clipboard. I prefer it only show up contextually either in the context menu when you press and hold on a text field, like Native Clipboard, or as part of a 3rd party keyboard, like SwiftKey. I'm uninstalling this because, although it does everything it promises to do well, I prefer other even better options.

I need help on how to copy and paste notes from this clipboard app to things like FB, Instagram etc. I have no trouble copying and saving items to this app, but copying from the app back somewhere else doesn't work for me. Thanks!
