This is something I wrote to help me mount and unmount USB storage on my HTC One S.
This requires a rooted device with USB OTG (On The Go) functionality at the kernel level (I think that this should be anything based on 4.0 or above but don't quote me on that!).
You also need the necessary cables... Plenty of advice on that if you Google around.
This app requires a degree of technical know-how to set regular expressions and directory locations (if the default ones don't work).
Please don't hit me for a 1 star review if it doesn't work on your phone. USB OTG is a bit flaky - especially on custom ROMs and non-stock versions of Android. Get in touch and let me know and there might be a work around.
EDIT: Seems people are intent on slamming the app for "not working" and then providing no further details about what isn't working!
I expect that in the majority of cases either USB OTG is not enabled on the particular version of Android, or else the "settings" are not correct for their device.

First. Thank you for at least making it. And second, not working on my device. I have a moto e 1st gen. I rooted my phone and checked with some otg checker apps if otg is supported. They show it does. But it's not working. Can you help me out. It'd be a great help. Thanks.

I got a java IOException when I tried to unmount. Changing the mount location to /storage/usbdisk as shown by Ghost Commander did not help. /storage/emulated/0/ has no 'usb' folder.

This application requires a rooted device. Oddly enough, this app produced only error messages on my RCA Pro 10 tablet. My tablet can mount and unmount USB OTG devices but the menuing sequence is 4 steps, I wanted a simple app that acted like a widget on my desktop, which would allow me to press the widget and unmount my mounted USB OTG device. Instead, this app is configured to try to unmount an SD card, and trying to unmount the SD card produces errors. So, since I was only looking for a shortcut to reduce the amount of steps needed to unmount my USB flash drive which is connected by OTG, I will only give the rating that matches the average at the moment, because it does not do anything for me. I would hope the author would modify the title of the description of the app, so that the word rooted is stated as a requirement for this app. Hint to author: my situation needs a step reducing widget, maybe you could add that functionality to this app? Or maybe modify the stock power toolbar of 4.2?

Yeah, I don't think this app works on my device. I can mount my flash drive manually just fine using a terminal app by issuing "mount -t vfat /dev/block/sda1 /storage/usbstorage" but this app will not work. I tried changing the mount location in the app to "/storage/emulated/0/storage" but it still didn't work. I tried setting the app to just read /dev/block/sda1 but it never recognizes it. Is it because I'm using CyanogenMods built-in root feature instead of SuperSU? Anyway, this is a great app I'm sure. It just doesn't work on my phone. Just reporting. ;)

Gave the one star only to gain your attention, I connected a 1 TB HDD to my phone but even after removing it, my phone showed it as connected so I used your app to unmount it and now I can't mount anything to my phone. Please help.
