MaritzCX OnSite for Android
The find new shops feature is cumbersome.
Use this app at your own peril. For shops that have a particular daypart assignment, it does not show in the app. Therefore, you will have to go to the website to confirm the day part before requesting the shop anyway. If you assign yourself the shop through the app, and then find that you cannot do the day heart and have to cancel, you will be punished.
I wasted time on one assignment giving this app a try again. I usually complete assignments in 30 minutes, but going in order of the questions and uploads on the app took over an hour. Which was ok if that meant I didn't need to resize photos later. At the end it said I skipped over 60 questions which didn't even show on the app after checking 3 times for the "skipped" questions. I ultimately had to complete the debrief later on the website. So I wasted time overall using this app. It doesn't work.
For shops that require visits to be conducted a particular time of day, say between 300pm to 1000pm, there is no way to see the time requirement before (or even after) selecting the shop. This makes the app useless for these shops.
I tried using this app, on more than one occasion when I saved my shop it would save it under a location different from the one I was actually shopping. No one was able to help me solve the issues. I was passed around, promised return phone calls that never happened. In the end I was screwed out of my pay for five shops which was just over 100.00. It will be great if they ever get it to work properly!
Every time I submit a quiz, it says I missed every question.
I have been using this app for a short while and already I have uncovered quite a few shortcomings. This app is not properly optimized to allow you to scroll through narratives you have written. You cannot submit an invoice when you complete your evaluation. The app does not sync your submissions with your computer, so it shows that you still have to complete your evaluation. Photos taken with this app sometimes are unreadable by the editors and thus have to be resubmitted.
This beats the old way. My 3 main complaints are: 1. The questions need to reordered. I waste a lot of time because of this. 2. The app doesn't save my user id or password. 3. The app seems to download all the documentation each time I go into a shop.
I'm not able today find shops in my area. It opens today the map and continues today say "loading shop" but it never loads.
Every other update creates focus problems when taking photos within the app. Also, the app's performance falls off dramatically when in areas of lower mobile coverage. I'm impressed by the immediate background uploading when I return to stronger network coverage. It's seamless and easy on my several different devices' RAM.
This is a great concept that could be made even better with a few minor adjustments. It would be nice to be able to submit an invoice from the app, or better yet, have it happen automatically when you submit a shop (most MSPs have long since dropped the ridiculous process of submitting an invoice separately from the shop itself, but Maritz clings to it). Also, it would be nice to be able to upload photos taken using the native camera app instead of having to open the report first (as someone standing in the parking lot fiddling with one's phone may draw potentially unwanted attention).
It does what its supposed to do but the schedulers never get back to you.
No way to sign up on the app. Can't find anything on site either unless you are a client.
The various versions of the app go up and down quite a bit. The more recent ones don't often crash on me, but still do sometimes for no reason. I finally figured out that you have to go into the evaluation and click through time and open questions to keep it downloaded. I've been burned with downloading, then getting on site and it downloads AGAIN. Not good when in rural areas with no signal. The whole submit thing is a mess. There ought to be the option to "Submit when on WiFi" or something. If you hit the submit, it uses data. If don't hit submit, it may not at all, or it submits a blank report with pictures that you have to recreate later on. There is still no way to jump to specific question numbers or to overall photos. A lot of time is wasted dancing through the questions to get to specific problems. And if you missed a question, it doesn't tell you what or take you to it. You have to scroll through the entire report to try and find it. The find a job is extremely frustrating and cumbersome. You have to decline 50 lines of stuff to try and see if a job is available in the area. With some work this app could be very useful to the field reps. The coders need to go use it!
App was much better before the update. I can no longer access my camera controls while in the app. This means if the picture looks dark, I can't adjust the brightness before taking the picture. Also, when taking receipt pictures, I found I needed to have the camera positioned over it before hitting the take picture button or it would be out of focus. Another problem I encountered- one of my evaluations did not upload, yet in the app it said it had been submitted. The app then continued to try and upload the report, without success, for 2 days at which time I had to uninstall it to get it to stop. When I accessed this shop on the website, I found that the pictures had uploaded EVERY TIME, resulting in there being 10 copies of each picture. I'm VERY unhappy with the update.

The new picture feature is aweful. You can't adjust focus. My last 5 shops were put on hold for pictures and I won't do any more shops till this is fixed.
