CycleDroid – bike computer

The app recorded my ride, but when I tried to share on Facebook, it seems to have frozen. I (apparently) get to a Facebook window, but no way to publish. Would be nice to be able to publish route map, but there doesn't seem to be an option. It would be nice to actually post on Facebook, so I'll probably look for another app. Oh, and the buttons are hard to find: basically white on light grey. I don't like to have to hunt for vital functions.

Biking software, does exactly what i need. Simple, easy, straightforward, don't need more than that. The only complaint is cycledroid takes a long time to sync with satellites at start up. Typically, have to press the location several times for the application to start woeking. Not sure what that's all about. Thanks.

Stops working mid trip. Dev needs to add some logic to ensure the GPS recording service stays up. It's either dying after an hour or maybe google maps is taking precedence for GPS readings... not sure. Worked fine on my S6 for a dozen trips, just not on my pixel. If it works for you, the app is awesome.

Seems that this has stopped working following an update. Updated 26th August. - uninstalled. Talked again. Sort of works but as before it keeps losing the tracking. During today it dropped nearly 7 miles from the route and I'be lost any info on speed for information.

Couldn't see button to start a new trip in Android 7, now found area on top bar, to the right side. On the first ride it logged 10miles then finished the trip. Have been using cycledroid on Samsung s4 running android 4.2 - which worked great.

Have to concur with Bernie's assessment. Worked great - for 3 or 4 trips, then just stopped. GPS is on and shows on top left of screen, but it never finds the satellites, even though it shows it can see anywhere from 9 to 13 birds. I've tried everything I know but cannot get it to "connect" with the satellites. Really sad too, because it was great while it worked.

Quite probably the best cycling computer app for android. Sadly no longer being maintained. Used it for years but unfortunately not visually compatible with Android 7, Nougat so will have to look for something else. ????

Don't bother with this one. Gave it 3 test runs. Mapping is good enough. But it missed the mark on everything else. Claims 2 minutes when the clock says 8 I know the route is closer to a mile but app claims .2. Other items are not even available even after settings. Will look for something different.

Love it! Works even without a sim card. I know thats phone hardware dependent but most tracking apps needed data. And for a free app that doesn't bombard you with ads, this is a must for cycling or in my case mountain biking especially when network signal is scarce.

I like 2 things while riding: tracking my speed and distance, and listening to music. For nearly 2 years I could do both. Suddenly a few weeks ago I could only do one; if the music player is on, this app stops tracking. I've tried every setting I could find. Trying a different app.

This app has been the best that I have come across. I searched through many apps and none of them worked as good as this one does. It's simple, does what it says and is very accurate. Thankyou to the maker of this app!

I loved this app through thousands of miles cycling, but all that changed with my recent phone upgrade to Galaxy Note 8. Instructions on first screen say to press button to add new (first) trip. The button does not exist. Cycle Droid, I am very sad, but may need to say goodbye after all these years.

It started out working fine. Yesterday I started the app for my commute home from work and it was working up until 7 miles from my house. That's when I noticed all the negative values it displayed for everything but total time and distance. Other 5 times I used the app I didn't have this problem.

I downloaded a couple of other cycling apps and uninstalled both when they kept trying to get my contacts or publish my efforts. I just needed a trip computer. And CycleDroid does exactly what I need. I enjoy it enough that I clicked the donate button after my first use.

Fabulous,Mind. blowing and very awesome app.This app is giving so many information and this app doesn't require internet connections it only need GPS connection .Really I love this app very very much. Really if google play store gives me more than 5 star to rate then I will defineltily give you more than five stare. Cycledroid also gives so many information and even graphs are very perfect and CYCLEDROID also increases my enthusiasm to the bycycling. Really MICHAL MRASCHALL I really love your app.

Started it before a ride, rode 20 miles. At end of ride, found it didn't record a thing. I know at least 2 other apps that work with no issues, first time I tried them. Don't have time or patience to try to make this one work, not my job.

I was going to get a fitbit with GPS but this is all I needed to track distance, speed and time ..thanks developer!

At any point en route I can view a map of the trip so far as well as statistics for the current and past trips (standalone trackers must first be connected to PC). I can't think of any measurement that is not included. See the screen shots for details. Great option for me: it can be set to start tracking immediately. I hate getting home and finding out I forgot to press "START". Shout out to James McQueeney: go to Settings, Units and select 'imperial'. Then it's all in miles etcetera.

Best of the first five I tried. The most information without having to pay for an upgrade. I would donate but I don't have a credit card associated with Google. That is riskier behavior than bicycling in traffic.

This app does exactly what its says. It has transformed my bike to a digital bike and now i can map my routes and monitor my burned fats and calories, and did i mention its free and has nothing of those annoying adverts. Looking forward to donating to the developer financially soon as a way appreciation.

Works great for my needs. I use it to track my ride as my wife gets in her run. I take a lot of extra detours while staying close by. I end up with some interesting tracks.

Very accurate GPS. Lots of info on the rides you take. The only disputes I find are the calories burned and the elevation. Other than that it is spot on.

quality apps are rarity these days so when I see in at an app that does exactly what I wanted to do without costing any money and without bombarded me with advertisements and constantly trying to sell me stuff I need to give it the credit that it's due. this app will measure the distance of your bike ride it'll show you the routes it'll give you some cool stats it's very easy to use and navigate, I've never had any problems with crashing or not working. Look no further, this app is the better

Good app. Ran through a bunch of My Tracks replacements when Google killed that app, this is the only one that did its job without trying to sell me something every day. Only four stars because the creator has ceased development and the csv file it creates will save coordinates but not, as far as I can tell, data on mileage, time, elevation, etc.

I just want something to track my rides and walks, and let me see them on a map afterwards. I have no desire to share or otherwise socialize them, it's just for my own record. And I certainly have no desire to watch an ad every time I use the app... Well CycleDroid is it! The donation request is modest & I will be supporting the developer that way too.

After AllSportGPS(which had a reliable elevation gain read out) was discontinued, I tried a dozen cycling apps and yours is the best. All others have been deleted. What I sorely miss is ELEVATION GAIN. Could you please install it. I live in the mountains, so.......elevation is everything.

Simply the best app by far. Very direct and accurate. Tracking bike trips is much easier. Provided all the places you want to pass are all ticked in Google Map. This way when you type in the name, everything will be alright. Luckily I had every place I needed to go ticked.

The distance and speed seem pretty accurate. The same course gives me within a few hundredths of a mile even with 19-21 satellites, so that's acceptable. The calorie and fat burned are bogus however; I take my dog on a 3 mile lap at 7.5 mph and then go 4 miles at 16 mph and it believes I burn 80% more with my dog... I've checked online calculators and they all completely disagree.

Like the two other reviews on here, the app worked a few times then failed. It said that it had acquired the satellites, etc just as before and after cycling for 17 miles all the readings were zero. Tried and tried to get it to work, but nothing. Other various apps like Google maps had no problem with showing and tracking my location. There's clearly a major bug in this app which needs sorting. A shame to be honest, as it provides an incredibly comprehensive data log when it actually works.

Just perfect Poprawka: niestety appka ma problemy ze sledzeniem (i to po tym jak wsparlem :-(). Ta sama trasa, taka sama pogda i za kazdym przejazdem inna czesc trasy zlapana przez appke. Ten sam test z Runtastic i sledzenie bylo idealne. Tak wiec problem nie moze byc w telefonie lub GPSie.

Very happy with this app. Everything I need in an easy to read format. So far, seems very accurate. Simple to set up. I love the graphic displays. Plug in your sex, age, weight and calories burned are displayed. Not sure how accurate the calorie counter is, but it's likely a good enough tool for estimations.

Great app! It does so much and so effortlessly. Definitely the best I've found.

I reviewed about 6 applications, so far this is the best one. It has very clear and intuitive interface and all information I need right in front of me: not too little and not too much, just about right. Things I'd like to add/improve/fix (yes, I realize this is FREE app and I can't come up with feature request, but still): 1. Share on FB. I set an option to display a route map, still don't see it. Not a major issue, just nice to have 2. Ability to customize cell type, i.e. select from drop-down list (similar to "Move! bike computer". This will allow to customize screens and select important fields. For example, on the first screen I'd prefer to see "burned calories" instead of altitude. This app is very good and works well to a point. For example, the altitude is not as accurate as you would like. When I start and stop my trip at the same location (my truck) the altitude is exactly the same. However the app shows my start and stop altitudes to be as much as 100 feet different where the should be the exactly the same. So you have to wonder if the app is not reporting the altitude correctly, what other reading are also not being reported correctly?

I have been using this app for both my cycling and scooting trips for some time and i like its simple interface. However inaccurate max speed pop up at today's kick scooting showing 42.7kmh... humanly impossible. And i cannot identify the max speed in speed/time graph. Any idea what is wrong?

Speed on graph is not accurate, noticed that max speed is not correct. It woud be nice to show where on map it happend max speed or altitude, mabe on click on dedicated box in menu. Coloring the route line for diferent speeds like gradient coud be nice too.

Tells your speed, max speed, distance, cal burn, and it works with no network (internet). this is the best one I have tried. The best part is it's free with the option to donate buy for $1.70. I've been using it for a week.
