Rooting was a pain, but it worked on my nexus 7 WiFi tablet.

I was able to pair my Microsoft Folding keyboard with my Nexus 10 in less than a minute. Awesome. Thank you.

I had some trouble to get this to work with my 2012 version Nexus 7, but the developer did his absolute best to solve my problem (even over the holidays). Now everything works flawlessly. Can't recommend this app enough if you happen to need BLE support on your nexus 7.

by N####:

I could not get the Microsoft Mobile 3600 to pair and read that it needed BT 4.0. This app fixed the issue and now it works perfectly. Price is high but obviously the developer can get away with it since nobody else came up with a similar solution.

Note that the device needs to be rooted before installing this app! Works great on my nexus 7 2012 (first gen). Now I can use it for my tacx cycling trainer :-)

Works, but it's way too expensive.

This is the app I've been wanting since I joined the waiting list for a Nexus 10 back in January 2013. You need to root your device first - which is a pain - but it's worth it to join the BLE ecosystem.

I wanted to use the Misfit Shine with my old Nexus 7. I was bummed out to find that the Nexus was BT 3.0. I had a little bit of trouble installing this app until I tried turning off Bluetooth first. That was all that was needed. Now I can use my Misfit Shine. Thanks!!!

expensive, but since there are not other options are out there, I bit the bullet. It work as intended. One less star for abusive pricing.

Got it downloaded onto my rooted Nexus 10 running Android 5.0.2. It tells me the Device Board is manta and the API Status is "Not Installed". If I hit 'Install' it gets as far as installing ./etc/...bluetooth_le.xml,then pops up a brief "something failed" message. How do I diagnose this? Going to have to give this 1 star since it was a lot of money for an app that simply does not seem to work on my device.

Yes is work with Nexus 7 2012 WiFi (android 5.0)

There were some issues getting this going on my Nexus 7 2012 with Android 4.4.4, but the developer provided truly incredible support and it's now working perfectly. I can now use my tablet with my new Basis Peak.

I had some trouble with the KitKat factory image. Developer responds to emails quickly and helped solve my issues!

Works as advertised. Installed on a Nexus 7 updated to the latest factory firmware (Android 5.0). Immediately the Nordic BLE app worked and connected to an nRF51 Dongle.

Bluetooth low energy is enabled, I can see my garmin vivofit, but the Bluetooth share service keeps crashing. This doesn't allow me to pair with the vivofit, or other Bluetooth devices. Please fix this in the update. Thanks.

Not working

M70%

For the record, this app really does work but it's still a rip off in terms of price. 4 stars because of the amount of work required to get it installed and working. 10 bucks means one-click install and this is not it. There may have been much work to package this app in a way that is helpful to users, but it is just a hack to get some freely available ASUS drivers installed onto your rooted Nexus 7 tablet. Google does not want you to put these drivers onto the tablet; like you easily could on any computer easily. I was not going to write anything about this app and just give it a high rating if it were cheaper. Thank you to the developer, good work, here is your money. And Google, you suck for not giving us what is already built into the wireless-chip of the tablet; and fully supported from ASUS. As you can see I have a love-hate relationship with this app.

Realy useful to get UP24 from Jawbone working with Nexus 7 2012! All work fine now! Thanks for the great app

C70%

I installed it on my unlocked Nexus 10 running Android 4.4.4. After the reboot, my LE device was instantly recognized.

X70%

App works great on my Gen 1 nexus 7, I can now use the Polar 7 heart rate monitor. It also opens the door to use other Bluetooth LE devices.

This app works great. You do have to root your device, which can take some time to backup and restore your . But this app does is work in seconds. I am now am getting to ready to get on my bike trainer and monitor my heartrate on my Nexus 10. (4 stars just because you have to root your device)

Okay, like others, I acknowledge that my wife's Nexus 7 (2012) had to be rooted and that was a bit of a faff if you have never done such a thing before; however, I feel the advantage gained from this app means that I simply can't mark it down for that reason. A full five stars, I did think I was going to have to buy a new tablet or phone until I discovered this app. Thanks Manuel. P.S., I don't fully appreciate what "rooting" does, I have no idea what "busybox" does, and I don't care. Why mention this? Just in case anyone else is concerned about the required preliminary work for this app.

Installed this to use my Nexus 7 with my Fitbit. It works perfectly. Now I can use the tablet with other low energy devices too.

App works perfectly and has enabled Bluetooth Low Energy on my Nexus 10 running Android 4.4 KitKat. I can now sync my Fitbit with my tablet with no issues. Developer was quick to respond to my question. Highly recommend. App gives new abilities to older devices.

Brilliant - worked straight away. Loaded up some code and I was talking to a sample Texas Instruments LE device straight away. If you need LE - buy this. Rooting a Nexus 10 is easy and it only takes a few minutes for your installed apps to re-sync afterwards.

Q70%
by Q####:

But so is life :) Thanks! Would be 5 stars if it didn't require root, not your fault though, pesky Google want us all to just buy their new devices huh..

Works very well on N7 with Android 4.3 and 4.4.

It's somehow hard to understand why BLE is disabled on devices that have BLE hardware, unless it's on purpose. Manuel correctly found what needed to be done to get it working. Uninstall works perfectly too, just in case you need it.

Q70%
by Q####:

I have to say it's by far the most expensive purchase I've made so far on Google Play but it's working perfectly! It save me from wiping everything and installing a custom ROM, and I now have a BLE-enabled Nexus 7 2012! I'm not sure why Google didn't include this on the Nexus 7 4.3 ROM - the Nexus 4 has it (tested earlier on today)... Odd... Anyway, fantastic time saver and works perfectly :-).

Works with Nexus 7 first generation! No need to buy the second generation now :D

Q70%

Just it cannot connect to this HID device. Does Android 4.3 support BLE HID profile?

Q70%
by Q####:

This app proved invaluable when I was stuck with a Nexus 7 (2012), brand new Android 4.3 but no Bluetooth Low Energy support! Now BLE works like a dream. Remember to install BusyBox as well, the app depends on it and will prompt for it's installation otherwise.
