سيرة الشيخ ومعلومات عن حياته:

عمر عبد الكافي أحد الدعاة إلى الإسلام من مواليد مصر في محافظة المنيا 1 مايو 1951م
نشأ في كنف أسرة ملتزمة بتعاليم الإسلام أتم حفظ القرآن قبل بلوغ العاشرة من عمره،
تخرج من كلية الزراعة ثم لم يلبث أن حصل على درجة الدكتوراه في العلوم الزراعية
كما درس بأكاديمية البحث العلمي وعمل باحثاً بالمركز القومي للبحوث.
تنقل وهو صغير بين أيدى أساتذة وعلماء في شتى العلوم الشرعية
من فقه وتوحيد وتفسير وسيرة وأصول فقه وعلوم حديث،
وحفظ على يد أساتذته صحيحي البخاري ومسلم بالأسانيد
وكان لهذا الحفظ أثره الواضح في تلقيه العلم طوال سنوات عمره.
والشيخ عاشق للغة العربية وآدابها وعلومها لذا فقد درس البلاغة
والنحو والصرف وحفظ كثيراً من المتون كألفية بن مالك وغيرها،
وتأثر كثيراً بشخصية أبي حنيفة وابن تيمية والحسن البصرى
وأبى حامد الغزالي وفى السنوات التي كان فيها عضواً بالهيئة العالمية
للإعجاز العلمى برابطة العالم الإسلامي عاصر وعايش كثيراً
من علماء العالم الإسلامى في شتى العلوم والثقافات.
