It may be able to sync with Gmail but it does not pull notes previously synced Gmail before you downloaded the app

Lost all "synched" notes and had to swap chips between a broken phone and new phone to retrieve what I trusted this app to save. Don't believe the description. Simplenotes app is a lot better
