As there was no Android version yet - I made a simple version with Tasker. Might not be as cool as the iOS one but using Tasker for Android it took only some minutes.
Measure the height of something by counting the time an object takes to fall the desired distance: 16*(s)^2=x ft

If I hear when the stone hits the ground, do you calculate for the sound too? If I throw a stone in a very deep well, it would take time for the sound to reach me...
