MailDroid Pro - Email Application for Android
The best
I have used Maildroid for years, but it is crashing a lot lately. It also doesn't open all of my mail anymore. I'm disappointed lately and considering a new email client. Rated 4 stars because when it works, it's absolutely great, but performance lately leaves a lot to be desired. I send crash reports almost every single day, sometimes multiple times a day.
Just the best eMail-client out there. Update Nov22 thanxx for fixing!!!
How to change the mail encored setting? I sent a mail to NTT Docomo mail account through this pro edition. And then the mail receiver informed that it seems all sentences are broken. I have a similar problem on other mail client. It was mail encored setting. So I need to change the mail encored setting to other setting, if possible. It it not available, I will change mail client software to other one on the other hand I will say good-bye.
Maildroid is incredibly feature-rich. However it is not bug free. On Chromebook I could not configure for Gmail at all because it complains that I need the latest version of Chrome (which was already up-to-date). On Android, I could not reliably send email when doing so through the cell network; almost always required a resend from the Outbox. Sending via wifi worked fine. Highly reproducable. Contacted tech support but they didn't have a workaround. Uninstalled.
I've used this app for years and love it. I haven't been able to see my work emails for two weeks now, however (outlook webmail via EWS). There have been no setting changes on my end and my two emails to the devs (and one several months ago about another issue) have not been answered. Great app, but my rating is based on lost access to one email account and no clear way to have the issue resolved.
I got MailDroid primarily because I wanted to be able to send email to groups, something that wasn't possible in the Gmail app (at least, last I checked). I've since been impressed not only by the app's features and stability but by the excellent customer service. I emailed support about a problem I was having, and the developer answered my email and provided a solution in under 24 hrs. Response time like that may not always be possible, but it certainly made me feel like the developers care about their product and their customers.
A good app for email that manages an exchange account quite well. Other apps are able to look up exchange contacts though so that's a drawback. I had to connect exchange as an account on my phone and have them all sync'd to my phone. Other mail apps allow you to lookup exchange contacts without them being in your phone contacts which is annoying. This would be a nice improvement or if my searching the settings has missed it please point it out.
Been a Maildroid user from its early stage. It is the only email client on any platform that I have been able to get all accounts consistenty in one place. I like how one can either move or copy emails from different accounts. I do all my email organization from Maildroid.
Unfortunately, the stability of the app does not warrant the ongoing cost. Emails appearing in the inbox that aren't on the server is simply not acceptable, especially when you can't delete them. Although I didn't contact the tech support, I don't believe such a simple basic requirement warranted the time to be honest. So now using an alternate app.
I'm using the Pro version. Very messy User Interface. Very confusing settings and configuration. Please add "Spam" button for notification shades. Overall, not very pleasant experience and try to "imitate" another email client named "Email - Fast & Secure" developed by Edison Software. I have to uninstall the MailDroid Pro and will return back when the user experience has been improved drastically.
It used to be great a few years ago. But seems the developer has run out of ideas.. Just releasing new themes in mail app, which imho, no one uses.. Other Email app now has multiple features which maildroid lacks, like exchange support with calendar sync.
Absolutely great app. I can consolidate ALL of my emails, work, personal, etc. Into one place, see them as separate accounts, or combined and not have to use various programs, websites etc. Simple to use, you can encrypt, sign, and has a powerful spam software. Can't say enough about more than exceeds my expectations with the bonus of exceptional customer / technical support!
Was better before the update. Now on my Note 8 it takes 5-7 seconds to load messages, refreshing the message list is chaotic and bulk deleting requires a refresh to show it was successful. Something is seriously bogging it down
Useful app that aims to do a lot and mostly succeeds (many features, many email servers, many phones). I bought the pro version after the ad-supported version proved reliable with my accounts. I like the extra pro features and lack of ads. | Update 1-2-18: Installed Outlook Mobile so I have an app that shows emails sent from my work computer. | Update 12-15-17: Dropping my rating to 3 stars because for several weeks I again can't see mail I've sent from my work Exchange account. The problem with sent mail duplication continues with one of my accounts. | In general, the developer is responsive. I've had trouble accessing my sent mail folders, especially with Microsoft Exchange. Also, sent messages sometimes show up twice in my sent mail folder.
Unfortunately it can't handle some attachments that other clients can including the built in client. Have emailed support with copies of problem email and attachments. Waiting for resolution. The folder structure and rules work well.
Used to be excellent but getting worse with every update. Crashs way too often to the point it is time to find another more stable email app.
Maildroid is amazing! Will do all you need to manage mutliple email accounts with POP, IMAP or both. Extremely flexible, powerful and reasonably simple to use with great technical support.
Still my preferred app for managing multiple imap & pop3 accounts and large quantities of emails. Features seem up to date now. Stability has improved.
It doesn't work after this latest update. Feel like I have been ripped off.
Fantastic mail app with added spam control with fast response to questions from developer. What more do you want? The best! 0nePlus
This app should be removed from the app store. Don't waste your money. This seems to be a one man show for an app that was popular a few years back and then became too much for one person to maintain. Claims to support PGP but provides not instructions and when you contact support he basically attests to the fact he's too busy to reply, the forums are down, and there no formal website with a update since 2014.
Very customizable email app that my wife still uses AOL for. Developer is very responsive so good job all around!
Love it.. Unfortunately it's having issues checking for mails at present. Hopefully devs will fix this quickly for us.
I still think that it should return to the nav drawer & show all accounts when "backing out"
Mails which I'm reading from application still unread on outlook. Useless for writing new mail, because can't find employees mail addresses from system.
It stopped loading new email messages last week, I uninstalled and reinstalled it but that didn't fix the issue.
Syncing but new messages don't show up. =/ What am I paying for?
Still cannot send any POP3 / SMTP email via Wifi . Have to use phone data every time . Every update makes its worse ,adds problems and support has disappeared . Spell check makes it really hard to check spelling and changes text without reason . Security certificates work ,then don't , then have to be reattached . Some messages never go through or go to drafts or outbox for no reason . Some messages are never received though they arrive in other mail clients . This has become far too unreliable to ever use as business email.
I love this app. It's worth every penny. I love the fact it doesn't mess with my calendar or contacts. I already have them the way I want them.
In my opinion the Best Android Email App out there at this time.
It's been my "go to" email app for years! Awesome.
Hands down the best Android mail handler in the Playstore.
Technically great email app but please chaps, bring the UX up to date.. Thank you..
only mail app that works okayish with my official pop account.
Works perfectly with lots of great features.
Solid Android email client.
It's my go to email app. Highly configurable and works fast on my Pixel 2 XL.
Up to now, it's been great.
