Child Allowance Money Tracker

This app does not work. It used to work OK but know it does not sync and the amount of money is changing from -10 to 78.50 to 20 whenever you re sync it. it also stopped working all together on my moms phone. Please fix this and i will rate it higher.

I really loved this program and had all the features we needed. However, the software on the phone is not linking up after having issues and now all the allowance information is gone. I've emailed without a response and am not able to attempt to find my account or reset the password. Help?

Great, simple app. Kids now have to go to either parent to track money rather than some board on the fridge or other unreliable or unsubstantiated source. App will synchronise across multi users with parental control. It's easy to log in and add a chore. The menu populates the current day so all you need to add is description and amount. Date can also be changed if you forget a chore. Same goes for withdrawals. When it comes to repetitive inputs, the description menu will auto populate as you add chore for the day. I don't like/want a pre designed list so this is nice. This app is way better than trusting/expecting kids to track their own. I really like it.

Fix this app please.

Exactly what I needed. Could use some interface refinement but it works for me.

I was using this app (since November 2014) and upped my child's allowance on her birthday; it back dated ALL or the allowances, so I had to readjust manually. THAT was fine; however, now it won't keep track of weekly allowance!! I created a second account to keep track of the same child, but still having issues. It's ashame, because up until my last phone update I was loving this app. Galaxy S5

It has a way to allow two parents to share information, an important idea. But, repeatedly, it's just broken. The scheduled allowance doesn't seem to work. The UI is annoying and badly designed. I also lost data after one of the updates, as another reviewer mentions.

Nearly half the time I log on, the balances are all wrong. After it is open for a few minutes the balances restore to the right amount. Also if you increase the allowance amount it retroactively increases all the past allowances.

I thought this was great at first but I have since discovered it deletes entries when you make a new entry. My kids believe I've been keeping track of their allowance and money they've earned and now I'm not positive of the amount!!! Just plain crappy!

Some issues with allowance somehow being skipped or not posting on time. Each time you open app a begin dialog box appears, meaningless. Group setting confusing.

This app was great for tracking my kids' allowances - until my phone died and I had to re-install it and now cannot access the group at all. :( I've asked for help once a couple of months ago but got no response. Now, am trying again. Hopefully, I can get back into the app. My advise to others: if you use this app, be sure to keep a paper version of everything too - incase your phone dies. Of course, that may defeat the whole purpose of the app. :(

Fix this app please.

Great app for keeping track of how much allowance my kids have earned and how much they have spent. When my kids are running short on money, they like that they are able to go through and see where they have been spending their money in case they want to cut back on something in the future. The only suggestion I have is the ability to edit entries. When I make a mistake or typo, I have to completely delete the current entry & input a brand new entry. Besides that, great job! Thanks.

When I change the allowance from $9 to $10 it updates all past entries to the new value. I wanted the new value from current week and on. Also, it would be nice to have the option to set up a monthly allowance.

I had a problem with saving allowances but was able to email the dev and it now works great.

I have been using this for a while now. Started at about 3 stars, author made some improvements based on my observations, went to 4 stars. But now I am dropping it to 2 stars and likely will move to another application. Syncing takes too long, after syncing totals are often temporarily wrong as a bunch of deposits will be missing but then mysteriously reappear later, and even though I enabled the sync function, I get bugged with the "BEGIN" screen every time I use it to turn the feature on.

It will only keep transactions I manually enter. It will let you set up automatic allowance payments and they'll show up once but the next time you log in they are all gone. Or sometimes just some are gone. And then others will reappear. It's different every single time you open the app. It's always always wrong, making it worse than pointless. Also there is no way to recover your password for a group. If you don't set up a group it will delete your kids profiles. If you do set up a group, it often forgets

I had all my kids' allowance all in order, but when I went to go add an allowance in to one of my kids' accounts, it synced and deducted, added and messed up all the balances!!!! Now all of the balances r all screwed up. This is the second time this has happened. I am deleting this and moving on to something better hopefully. ...

Changed one kids allowance figure and it REMOVED every 'spend' he and his sister had 3 mth worth.... Doesnt sync to husbands phone... Pointless... Use excel or similar with less hassle

It wont work

This app worked great on my old phone, but I can't "join" nor "create" on my new phone. Worked wonderfully keeping track of my 4 kids money. However, my old phone died. When I tried to "join" our family's account, it said I needed info I didn't have nor did it have the "button" it said to click. When I tried to create a new account (start over), it said I already had an account. My kids want their money and I can't get this to work.

And no way to recover password. Lost how much I owe my kids

I like it a lot. Easy to use and does the job. What would make it better is, different currency support (it only supports pounds that I could see), also the colour selection is a little fiddly because it's small and the graphics (ui) could be updated. These are minor things. This is a great app. I love the fact it synchronises across devices. Great job.

I opened it and the weekly deposits were way off. Too much work.

Everything except for group sharing seems to work.

My kids get a monthly allowance but I didn't see that option; only weekly.

It keeps deleting...

Installed and the first time opened, it accrued allowance through May 2013 (its Jan 2013). Next time August then Nov. In 10 minutes I owed my kid $800 for future dates. Uninstalled.

I love being able to keep track of the kids money using my phone that's always with me! I used to hide their wallets and forget to put cash in when they got their allowance. Now I can hold them accountable by easily deducting when they skip chores and I have an electronic record detailing WHY and WHEN it was deducted or earned! All they have to do is ask how much money they have and I can see by opening the app even if I hadn't checked in several weeks because if automatically adds the weekly allowance!

Agree with chris. Could not control future accumulation. First entry added allowance out to June 2013. Uninstalled.

Just what i need. I use it for all sorts of things. Group money, sort term cash, a friend asks me to buy her some stuff... Etc. Works great! Thanks for the upgrade!

The best app out there for if you either have multiple kids or want something that can be used without an internet connection.

Does what it says. However, the UI is pretty clunky and looks horrid on a tablet. Windows aren't sized well, and the Icons are enlarged and blurry. Still, this is the only app like this that I've found.

I first started using this app over a year ago when I got tired of trying to remember how much money my kids had in their allowance accounts. The developer has added features like auto weekly or monthly earnings, easier boxes for entering info, etc. He's very responsive to input & I highly recommend his app.

Twice now all the weekly accumulation of allowances has just erased after I added a one-time deduction.

Fantastic that this syncs so the kids can see what they have. Brilliant support from Mark if things go wonky too. Just need automated deductions too and it would be perfect.

Keeps wiping accrued allowance whenever I add deductions. Sometimes I lose all allowancw history just opening app. Also if child gets a raise and you change allowance amount it goes back and changes all previous allowance entries to new higher amount. Good idea but needs a little tlc

Worked great until I started syncing to the cloud. Some items turned into duplicates of three.
