About Mag+ Designd Reviewer

The Mag+ Designd Reviewer lets you review layouts made with the Designd toolset for Mac and PC.

The Designd platform is being used by some of the leading digital publications, including Bloomberg Markets, Web MD, Macworld and United Airlines .

How It Works:
Using the free Designd toolset on your computer you can build content in Adobe InDesign and review it immediately on your mobile devices using this app.
Designd uses a simple InDesign plug-in that talks directly to this app, so you can build magazines, catalogs, books, brochures—anything you want—push a button and it will export that layout in a fully optimized format to this app over a wireless network.

Old review follows: I read the people can't open the .mib files on their Adroid devices. If you want to open an .mib file or any other file (either localy stored or from dropbox or other cloud service) do the following. Install the application "Download All Files" by MDJ Software. This liitle app allows you to download and open file extensions that the Android OS does not support or blocks by default, for security reasons. Click on your .mib file and the "Download All Files" app will ask you to "Save It" (even if it is already stored in your phone). Click on the button. Once saved the button will change to "Open File". Click on it again and the Android OS will prompt you to open the file with Mag+. Voila. You can now see your file with Mag+. I have been using the "Download All Files" app since the early days of Android because I couldn't download unsupported mail attachments and files fom the internet browser on my devices. Hope this helps. As for the Mag+ app, I will reserve my opinion in a future update of this review.

Great idea but total pain. One minute it works then it doesn't. Had to uninstall it and install it again. It worked for a bit tgen didn't. Very very annoying.

After smacking my head against the wall trying to find basic info such as the IP address (so I could link InDesign to my Nexus 7) I managed to Review my mag on my Nexus no problem. However the 2nd time I reviewed the mag it refused to push to my nexus. The error message read 'Push to Device Failed'. Its a shame this app was an after thought and not built or tested like the iOS equivalent. I want this to work!

I was happy to install this as I am a digital publisher; but was so so sad when it started hanging my android and even made my browser stop working past the first tab. Fix it and can the next one be available with a start up kit for digital publishers?

The first review worked fine and then the reviewer app stopped working on my Google nexus 7 tablet. App now crashes every time upon opening. Please fix.

I love the idea of it, and it works better on my Nexus 10 compared to my 7 or Note 2, but still light years behind the iPad version. Any chance you'll be bringing this up to par with that anytime soon?

I just installed and was very happy i could try something like the InDesign for Adobe. I am so sad. I hope it can be fixed and ready for use :-(

It (barely) does what I need, but it's a pain to use. Any time the app crashes (which is a lot), any time my tablet's IP changes, or even if it's just been a while, I have to clear the app data and relog to get it to work again. Still can't get it to open any MIB's not sent directly from the InDesign plugin.

Keeps crashing everytime I view a large file
