About MAGIX Audio Remote
MAGIX Audio Remote is the free second screen app specifically designed to work with MAGIX music software for Windows PCs (currently Music Maker 2016, Samplitude Music Studio 2016). The Audio Remote app allows you to control the sounds of virtual instruments, start recordings and operate the Live Pad mode in Music Maker Live, thus increasing the performance spectrum of MAGIX desktop products. The app only works when used in combination with specific programs and a Wi-Fi connection.

Control elements of your MAGIX software using the free Audio Remote app for Android:
★ 16 in-app Live Pads: For quickly sketching out beat ideas and performing live with Music Maker Live.
★ Sound control: Filter and effects controls for virtual instruments contained in MAGIX programs.
★ Transport console: Play, stop and record straight from the app.
To use the features in the MAGIX Audio Remote app, you need to have the corresponding MAGIX program for Windows.
LIVE PADS
Play the Live Sets in Music Maker with the 16 virtual pads in the Audio Remote app.
★ Activate and deactivate loops
★ Real-time pitch adjustments
★ Start Live Session recordings
★ Select presets
★ Make changes to quantization
INTERSTELLAR PENDULUM
Optimize instrument sounds with the filter features in Audio Remote.
★ The pendulum is used to regulate the filters
COSMIC REVERB ROOM
Experiment with the virtual instruments' reverb.
★ Change room size
★ Adjust ambience
APP CONTROL
★ Start, pause and stop recordings in MAGIX audio programs using the app
★ Use Audio Remote to activate the loop feature

Good enough remote control to start, stop, pause and record from beginning of track in Samplitude Pro X3. This app's pad buttons do nothing in Samplitude. Magix could take a cue from Harrison Mixbus on how to build a remote controller tablet app. Using TouchOSC, you could program a more useful tool yourself, frankly, But, this is free and, as I say, is good enough as a transport control so you can be away from your DAW and get things moving. Haven't played with the Reverb and Filter toys this comes with, but they look like fun! And the master volume control works (slider beneath the transport controls). You have to check the box in the Hardware Controllers page of System Settings that says "Support for MAGIX Audio Remote" for this to work.

Downloaded music studio 2016 and this don't work. Press every button and nothing happens. Rubbish. Tried it on my Lenova tablet and iPad nothing works.

I have already installed music maker jam 2016 but I couldn't connect this app with that one.....and this also crashing sometimes help me to solve this

Magix Music Maker 2016 first crash loading VST instruments during installation. Not a great start. Can't use the £29.99 voucher on VST synths in the shop. And now this. App Doesn't detect the programme on the desktop, unhelpfully suggests I look in settings, Settings give no way of making the connection. music Maker 2016 gives no way of making the connection either. Buggy, unhelpful software, knew I shouldn't have upgraded.

It's.... ok. Start/stop/record? Sure - but you have to start at the beginning of the track. There's no way to control where you actually are. Of course - it's meant to be a touch-add-on screen, not a primary display, so I'm attempting to use it improperly - but still, having a way to scrob the audio to a specific place would be nice - visually or not. There's no fine control with this app, which is disappointing.

Works. It is about what you'd expect for a simplified live performance remote. Probably not the preferred method for live work. But, it can enhance your ability to move around and do other things away from the computer, thus contributing to the performance in a positive way. I wouldn't use it exclusively, but as an enhanced assistant. BTW - I use it in Samplitude as well as Music Maker Live. It is admittingly more useful in Live than Samplitude (remote can fire banked events in Live).
