Instead of spending so much money with garmin, tom tom and all of those expensive watches, this pretty gadget does all the same work but better and cheaper together with wahoo app, I am using galaxy s4 and I can connect my watch every time, except when the watch battery is dead (twice in half a year)

I thought maybe by Dec 2016 the Echo firmware & app would be fixed. Nope. Its total garbage. Literally, "just threw it in the trash"...garbage. Won't waste my time with any Magellan products again. Trash, trash, trash. GS7.

Can't connect to the watch at all. Called company and they couldn't figure out the problem. Complete rubbish of an app and company

I just got this Echo fit as a present for Christmas. I actually requested it. Not only does the QR code not work and the set up URL is down but I install this app and it has no features! Why are stores and catalog still selling this if you're not supporting it? It's very disappointing that all my wife can do is show the time and have a stopwatch. I understand you can install apps for this watch but stand alone it's supposed to be able to do multiple things. What happened? This is very disappointing.

The watch stopped pairing with map my run. Tried reinstall. Tried other run apps. Tried other devices. Contacted magellan they said issue had been resolved. It hasn't. Totally disappointed.

A complete waste of money, time and energy. With no response from the company or way forward for future fix or something. So disappointed!

The app connected to the watch them after doings it's idiotic software update for over an hour the app did nothing at all. Waste of time and money.

The packaging to the watch stated it to be compatible with the STRAVA app, and to have a heart rate monitor. No such luck. Apparently only compatible with Apple and late versions of Android, which the Magellan people conveniently omitted from their packaging. FALSE ADVERTISING! REPORTED TO THE GOVERNMENT CONSUMER WATCHDOG!

This is my first sports watch. I can't say much good about it really. I timed a run and saved it. Where do you see the run for future reference? I can't seem to pair it with strava. Even if I could what would be the point? I might as well just use Strava. The sleep timer is definitely inaccurate. Why is there no written instructions? The link to help is broken in the app. It's basically a watch and a pedometer oh and a alarm...

Never would track my heart rate, but would at least interact with RunKeeper on my Droid. After a firmware update, first it wouldn't interact with my Droid, then the battery died, now this "watch" won't even tell time for me. Gonna remove my fresh battery from the watch before it gets wasted, too!

Magellan promise is not met..the watch is useless piece

Able to do just basic watch configuration. Was not able to configure any of the buttons or fitness metrics.

All of the reviews below are accurate. Just got the watch, loaded, and then updated automatically, now the only function is the stop watch. Grrr. Web site for Magellan that is on the get started Page won't load. Very disappointed. And why aren't the company replying to these posts!!

Watch worked fine and synchronised with droid out of the box. Did the update and now they will not connect. Now it is just an expensive watch. Real shame.

Was ok for basic functions in 2.3.6 ... now won't connect at all, even when android giving multiple pair approvals. Please get at least the basics right? Nexus5, lollipop.

I managed to connect twice. Once when I first got the watch, which then performed an update, then once after which all seemed good. But now I am unable to connect to the watch at all, even after "forgeting" devices on both the watch and phone, testing Bluetooth, etc. ***UPDATE*** Couldn't get the watch to connect after it updated. Was going to take it back but then performed a factory reset of the phone and it now works fine. Now using Magellan Active which is much better.

Cannot complete connection process!

to the latest version... The one that it came with is working fine so far... Only issue is battery draining - 2 coin batteries already replaced in 6 months..

It was great, and simple. Everything worked flawlessly in February/March. Now its April and the stopwatch function which I use all the time, doesn't start. Please fix!

Having just bought this watch and spent 1/2 the day trying to configure it for my Nexus 5- which I checked is listed as a compatible phone before buying the watch, the Bluetooth simply drops out within seconds of connecting to the Wahoo app that is recommended to use. Will not connect with Strava or other recommended fitness apps. I have not even been able to get as far as configuring the watch to the app let alone taking it for a run. Completely worthless; I have wasted my money on this watch.

Since loading the last two updates, my echo has become worthless. If you watch is currently working, do not load this update.

I got my echo last weekend after one update to the watch, the app doesn't load any settings options. The watch for the most part works with runkeeper but only with Google music to change songs. Great idea but needs some vast improvements to use interface and customer support, which is non existent.

The setup shows that you create a profile during a setup wizard. None of this has or can be accomplished. It does the same thing as a regular watch. There is no tutorial on how to connect it to strava or save running distances and such. Really disappointed. I'm glad I got it on sale because I would be really mad if I would have paid full price for this.

Phone will not pair with Echo Fit now that software has updated for utility and watch. Functionality is now useless.

Doesn't work any of the apps on my note 4

After updating to the latest version yesterday my note 3 running this app seemed to connect ok to my Magellan Echo watch but when I change the settings in the app I can't transfer them to the device. Update: Have called the support centre three times to find out if I can install an older version of the echo utility which worked to a certain degree but it can't be done. Update: Took my watch back for a refund but instead exchanged it for another echo watch and all seems to be working fine again.

I can get as far as changing my watch backgrounds but when I want to add a profile it will not let me it freezes on the loading screen. This is crazy. We pay so much for a watch that we hope to work and it is not doing its thing!!!! Hurry up and fix the bugs in this latest update so we can use our so called smart watches!!

Smart watch, sorry, not a good description. It was synced to my phone, now it cannot be synced to receive notifications, etc. I bought my wife a new smartwatch from kmart for $50 and it does everything. This is poor in comparison and 3 times the cost

Unable to connect to watch

Wow absolute garbage. Just payed $150 for a watch and the lame app is broken as crap not worth it. Synced it with my phone thats all it would let me do none of the other setting where avalible to use for no given reason wouldn't let me update to lates version and kept on telling me i need it. Most of all the step count is completely off, I did 20 steps and the watch said i had only done 6 steps.

Started...updated firmware...completely useless

It seems that so many of the features for this device simply don't work on android. For example, I can't figure out how to do music control. It doesn't seem to have native support in any of the apps I've tried, and nothing seems to do anything via runkeeper. I was super excited to have a smart watch at a reasonable price, but until more of the features work on android, this is a big disappointment.
