SOS GPS has few great features:

Currently, I am experiencing a small issue with the POIs, however, this app is excellent in every way. It has a great user interface that is modern and elegant, and it is very fluid in appearance when clicking buttons, etc. It is well designed. Another thing that makes this app unique for me, is that is able to send information by BOTH email and SMS. Plus, it is possible to put contacts into various different categories such as family, friends, work, and SOS contacts. Customizable information can be sent to each category by both email and/or SMS. A BIG BONUS: Not only does this app send location co-ordinates by email and SMS, it also sends your actual reverse geocoded ADDRESS in the SMS and email. I would be willing to pay for this app, so thanks to the developer for making this available for free. Plus, there is NO ADS cluttering up the app. This is a great social AND safety app. Highly recommended. Samsung Galaxy S3/Jelly Bean.
