WiFiFPV for Android
You can't find a cheaper and sipler fpv solution. You only need a router and power it with a cheap battery and you get a good, non laggy picture. One thing i miss is the phone screen has to be on, so it will discharge quickly. Also a camera change button, and an option to calibrate the phone's gyroscopes would be nice.
Haven't tested it in flight, just playing about with it on my machine. So far seems fairly nice will have to look at the range with my router. One thing I've found on my Note 3 even though I have location services on the app seems to think my GPS isn't on. But so far seems a nice idea, for a cheap/free fpv starter.
1st, does not work in hotspot mode. It really wants a phone to wifi AP connection. This is absurd as the phone must be the AP. 2nd: jpeg encoding is not realtime. Unusable because of the lag. But it has some promise so keep up the good work!
great, if you have issues try running it through vlc player. seems to be a small amount of lag and i havent tested the range yet, but so far so good for samsung galaxy s3. recording option would be great.
Only thing I would want to see added is the ability to record video while streaming.
Does not work on My Droid X2 running Andriod 2.3.5 Camera will not tun on and no info goes out to ethernet. Works good on My Asus Transformer TF-300T tablet running Android 4.2.1
Orientation options would be good, as well as resolution (I use a nexus 7 for viewing which stretches to widescreen). Have you considered adding an option to have the OSD parameters transmitted using EXIF on the jpeg frames? The dedicated WiFi fpv viewer could extract it and offer better quality for the OSD.
Thnks a lot, i was planed to use skype like thing for this, this is perfect
But not on cheap ones like the $20 venture other ip camera apps work on these devices though none of them have a HUD with telemetry would love thid app if it worked with lower end devices
Please add recording option, and online function would be nice, keep the good work
Works on my Transformer (TF101) but not on my Droid X2.
but it could do with a couple of additional features: 1) Recording. 2) 'Find me' option to switch on a noise so that you can find it after a crash 3) Orientation options. I have a plan to mount a phone flat under a quad and use a 'periscope' to film forwards rather than down. wififpv can't be used for this as a) It doesn't change from landscape to portrait. b) You cannot reset the HUD to a non-standard orientation. Number 3 is the most important, implement that and I'll be ecstatic!
I tried installing it on my Samsung Galaxy SL and the Samsung Galaxy S Plus but the camera is not working. Does work on the nexus 4 though but of no use for me then!.

All working well. One issue is that there's a lag of 2 seconds. Maybe a idea to connect phones with hotspot? Never seen before...
