কালোজিরার উপকারিতা (Benefits of Blackjack)

কালোজিরা একটি মাঝারী আকৃতির মৌসুমী গাছ। এই গাছের একবার ফুল ও ফল হয়। কালোজিরার ইংরেজি নাম Fennel flower। এর বৈজ্ঞানিক নাম Nigella Sativa Linn। এই গাছের স্ত্রী, পুরুষ দুই ধরণের ফুল হয়। সাধারণত নীলচে সাদা (জাত বিশেষে হলুদাভ) রং হয়। এই ফুল পাঁচটি পাঁপড়ি বিশিষ্ট। কিনারায় একটা রাড়তি অংশ থাকে। তিন-কোনা আকৃতির কালো রং এর বীজ হয়। গোলাকার ফল হয় এবং প্রতিটি ফলে ২০-২৫ টিবীজ থাকে। কালোজিরা আয়ুর্বেদীয় , ইউনানী, কবিরাজী ওলোকজ চিকিৎসায় ব্যবহার হয়। মশলা হিসাবেও ব্যাপক ব্যবহার হয়ে থাকে।
