I wanted to like this, but like everyone else reviewing, you can't register, it won't accept the card or details even though they are clearly right. It's really stupid to launch something like this and not have it ready, I won't bother trying again

And now seems to have made an account but I can't view it? Very weird. Unusable.

The idea is brilliant. Need to get card functionality right before the press release though!

Now I can afford to get a proper black cab even when travelling alone. And the service only stands to get better and cheaper, the more people become aware of it.

Fairly unhelpful when the app won't accept valid card and address details....

This app is almost ready but it has not been officially launched.

I would use only of cheaper than a taxi. I would use instead of public transport and pay up to go door to door. First person in every cab has to underwrite a full taxi fair. I would only do that if in a hurry so would use hailo or uber. Maaxi should subsidise that first passenger and make it back when popular. That's how Via in NY built critical mass.

Here was me thinking Uber and Maaxi were meant to make life simpler and cheaper. Here I am at 1am in Central London, trying to get home, and they both just give me a generic "error". I have full signal, but they are clearly both still in the development stage. I would probably keep the press releases until I had actual taxis...

Great idea. Just need to get everyone "south of the river" using it too... :-)

App developer just took considerable time to phone and speak with me and I am now confident they care very much about what they are doing. This is a brand new app and for something with this much functionality it's normal to have a few questions at the start. Definitely look forward to using Maaxi.

I downloaded, installed and it asked for an update. I hit OK and nothing happened. I'm keen to give this a go! EDIT: got it working but no public transport journeys. Back to Citymapper....

Hopefully this will capture the publics imagination.

Could be a good idea, but I would not know as when I open says I need to update to latest version and then directs me back to play store where it tells me I have latest version already. So currently not working on all phones. Using HTC One M8.
