Love the app. Super easy for beginners to start putting their money to work. Best robo-option I found if you want to own individual companies as well. Really easy to customize your holdings based on preference and risk tolerance. Research is lacking and no tax loss harvesting or the platform would be perfect.

Better than Betterment! Probably one of the best (and the only) hybrid robo advisor/broker apps I have come across. You can completely customize your portfolio rather than being limited to a small number of preselected ETFs. I like that it has a pre built socially responsible option, as well as letting me choose individual solar, wind, and green energy stocks and ETFs. The only feature I would like to see included is the ability to trade mutual funds. I would also recommend lowering the $100 minimum initial deposit to perhaps $10 to make it more accesible for newbie and small dollar investors to get started with the platform. Otherwise a fantastic investing app.

There are several reasons why I love this app. This app is designed to satisfy the needs of beginner or seasoned investors. Its algorithm sells when stocks are performing better than what you allocated that stock to be and redistributes the earnings from the sell to the under-performing stocks. Essentially it buys low and sells high for you! If you're a first time investor no problem, there are pre-made "pies" that you can start off with. By doing so you can make a well rounded portfolio for a fraction the cost due to fractional shares. It's low fees (first $1000 fee free), amazing algorithm, design (both app and their website), fractional shares, no commission fees make this app the best out there for long term investing. My only wish is that they would implement some similar marketing strategies that other apps have done. For example, perhaps a monetary incentive for recruiting additional people. Overall great job m1finance keep it up can't wait to see this company grow as well as my investments.

M1 Finance is one of those rare investing apps that does exactly what it advertises. The features are easy to use and the app has a really clean interface. I like how the app is free to use for the first $1,000. This is an ingenious way for first time investors such as myself to test-drive the app. M1 Finance allows you to search up any stock or ETF that is traded on the NYSE. You can then add your desired stocks or ETFs to your portfolio and allocate a percentage to them. There is absolutely no fee or commission for adding stocks or ETFs. You can add and remove as many times as you wish and you will not pay anything for doing so. This can save you a lot of money compared to any fund family such as Fidelity or Vanguard. Another benefit is that the app buys fractional shares of everything so it is inexpensive to get invested into the stock market. The fees for the app start to kick in once you surpass $1,000 in your portfolio. The fees are very straightforward and easy to calculate. I like how M1 Finance is honest with their fees. They don't hide anything from you. Overall, if you want to get into investing without forking over a lot of initial capital, I would give M1 Finance a try. You only need $100 to start!

This company seems to be InTune with modern-day investing very good options on how to invest your money it is not complicated and a real time-saver good app nice and clean so far so good. The only problem I had was it took a long time to get my account open otherwise pretty smooth over the last week since I first had access to the app the online web is very good as well.

I love being in control of my own investments! Other platforms have preselected funds that aren't the highest performers. Also many people don't have the money to secure securities all at once. Now they don't have to. Although I would love to see OTC securities available for purchase as well. There are a lot of good investments on OTC. But that's not enough to steer me away from M1. Keep up the good work!!!☺
