Lyric Writer Pro

My favorite thing about this app is, after editing and saving lyrics, I can touch my tablet without worrying an inadvertent finger press will bring up a command menu, scroll a page, etc. I can hold it just like a book. Adjustable font sizes for individual songs, rather than as a global setting, is a BIG plus. Song-jumping on the master list with the A-Z column down the side is very handy (screenshots here don't show this feature). Managing multiple set lists is easy. Sadly, it does NOT import your old work when you upgrade from the free version. And it doesn't transfer files to/from other devices via bluetooth. Serious inconvenience because this means a whole lot of copy & paste with some other text app. Scrolling is a bit buggy in edit mode. Your device's keypad can edit text in a pinch, but if you plan on doing a bunch of typing, I highly recommend using a real keyboard. I'd also like a Night Mode option (white text on black background). There's a More Options icon (those three vertical dots) in the bottom corner, but no additional options come up. I can't comment on the karaoke features because I don't use them. But for lyrics, this is easily the best of several apps I've tried.

I can't tell you how many times the app has just crashed and all my unsaved work goes into the trash. On top of that I CAN'T EVEN TAP ON "VIEW SONGS" WITHOUT IT CRASHING EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Your automatic scrolling is not working. Pls. do something about it. It may be considered a deceitful act on the part of the seller for not revealing that the features of his product do not exists. We paid for it because we are expecting what you are advertising.

Auto scroll pauses at screen touch but unable to resume.

The app is just good not great. Should be able to cut and paste.

Can't believe I Paid for this crapp. Makes me want to return to Apple... Grrrr!

great apart from the fact it says the folder lyric writer pro import is empty but it isnt and i simply cannot import lyrics have to do it all manualy sometimes tyhe screen for typing goes away and it is akward

I finish everything now I can't share it. Is there any option to share it? Help me please

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY!!! If you want a very basic karaoke app this would be great. However, I'm a professional musician and I trusted this app would do what it promised. It is misrepresented in the description. It doesn't tell you there is no auto-scroll or auto-scroll delay unless you load a backing track for EACH song. When they said you can adjust the auto-scroll to any speed don't believe it. It's manual scroll unless you have a backing track for EACH song. I learned this after 4 wasted hours of editing and transferring songs onto my memory card. I never found the zoom control either, in fact there are very few controls within the app and very inadequate help(one page). How can a so called developer assume every musician uses backing tracks??? I don't need backing tracks! I am a musician with rhythm machine, bass pedals, guitar, and harmonica on a neck rack, I have enough to worry about without trying to scroll the lyrics too! This app will be uninstalled and I'll be going back to the free app I was using. "Guitar Songbook". You can do much better for free. Oh yes, one more thing, what if you were to be playing a gig and the stupid screen times out? What then?

As a musician that plays solo with tracks, I've been trying to find an app that plays tracks and shows lyrics. The thing that sets this apart from iTunes and others, is that you can adjust the size of the font! And you can scroll the lyrics, which is very helpful. It requires some time getting used to these tools, but once you get it together, it makes the gig very smooth. The other thing that is a little confusing is that the program talks about installing everything on the SD card, but on my note 4, and nexus 10, the program installs everything on the device memory. No problem. Great app!! Thanks again!!

Prior to the discovery of this tool, I had been using two tablets for my gigs, one for the lyrics and chords and the other for my backing tracks...this app lets me do it all on the same unit. Overall, a great tool. Someone mentioned the inability to cut and paste, just install the Hacker's Keyboard and you can cut and paste using Ctrl C and Ctrl V just like on a PC. Thanks for a great app.

Crashes during playback

Something wrong with this app! Any time i type a song and before i save it,somekind of color squares comes out on the page and then it takes me back to main screen without saving a lyrik i typed. Please fix it.

got hundreds of songs for I am gigging musician. just hope there is a search option in inserting music and lyrics, to a faster means.. also hope it could recognize file in a fokder A to Z with song or lyric inside..

Just wish it would recognize more file formats, like .doc or .pdf, or better yet, chordpro.

If possible, a search machine that would give the ability to find a song by typing any key word that fits would make it a "five stars" application. Great job anyway.

To this point, I have been using two tablets for my gigs, one for the lyrics and chords and the other for my backing tracks...this lets me do it all on the same unit. I just have two wishes, one, let me use colour to highlight text (as I like to use a different colour for the chords). The other is to let me use other file formats (such as .doc or .docx), it would save me a lot of time. Overall, a great tool, I look forward to using it. Thanks

Using the pro version on a Motorola Xoom, and it's just what I was looking for. Id recommend it to any gigging musician who is using backing tracks and using lyrics.

Pity only add songs from 1 folder

Every time I minimise the page I lose any unsaved work,.?

This is the kind of app I've been looking for but, for some reason, it won't play the entire song. It only plays about 30 seconds of the track. It can't be programmed like that I'm sure. They need to add some kind of support for technical difficulties.

Like free version, wanted to scroll, but now it Wont let me put songs from free version onto pro, will have to do manually 150 songs ahhhh so frustrating.

I have lost over a total of 20 songs since I started using this app. Wish I didn't buy it.

I agree with yusuf whenever the page is minimized u loose unsaved work. There isn't an unlibrary where your work is saved loose it on your computer like doing a hard reset or something and you're. TOAST. HAPPENED TO ME.
