Level Up Life for Android
I love this! As someone who struggles to get motivated, I find this really useful :) I know people say that the XP doesn't mean anything, and whilst that's technically true, this app lends itself to the idea that users gain experience in real life. For example, one category is mental - you get experience points for looking after your mental health. You get points for exercising, even if it's just a few sit-ups. I would recommend this app to anyone who struggles to get motivated.
Simple but not bad. Seems to skew more towards teens, but that's the app's demographic. Probably good for kids/teens who get bored: it suggests various things to do, and has a motivational setup. As an adult, I found the suggestions too limited, and the community page too young.
I like the idea but I wish that the xp and other stats meant something. Like having an rpg and you can only level up your character by completing goals in real life. It doesn't have to be complex just something simple to reward you a bit more.
Uploading photos doesn't work properly. When I go to attach a picture to a completed goal, only a strip up top of the actual photo shows, while the rest is white. When I post the goal it looks the same: strip of picture up top, rest blank. I updated the app; not fixed. I uninstalled and reinstalled; not fixed. On top of that, the menus are hard to use and some of the settings don't even work. I wanted to hide the things completed, but it doesn't work. Overall though I love RPGs and leveling up so this really drives me to do things. The concept is great.
I love this app. It makes me feel accomplished and also helps me set goals. BUT there are 2 BUGS I've been experiencing. PLEASE FIX!!! arts and creativity as well as household and diy crash upon opening. I use these often!!
It's a really good app and it's very motivational , the only problem is when you see other people accomplishment and reached goals there is no like button, only comment. It'd be great if we could like the activities instead of commenting.
It is very satisfying to get rewarded for every tiny positive thing you do, and motivating either. The app has pleasant graphic theme, good options but menu looks a bit confusing.
Level Up has helped me engage in more short term goals. If I'm having a hard day the app helps me to refocus on the things I've accomplished big or small. I like that I can add my own goals and the sinple design. I wish leveling up added more new goals or that I had the ability to create rewards for when i level up to add more motivation.
Don't lock certain goals just because people have never used the app before, that's stupid.
Thank you for making this app. For me it become as daily journal of what i have achieved and what i have to do. I'm using it for almost 4 months and im happy with it. Style, and new goals for new level keeps me using this app more and more. I know many people didin't like the concept and "poor" execution of this app. How many people, hoe many opinions. Here have 5 stars for your app who became my daily personal rpg journal for my journey of life.Thank you for making it!
Motivates me to do things but it would be nice if there were a widget option so i can look at my goals without opening the app everytime.
"Boost motivation and productivity by earning xp from irl challenges", nice concept but why should i wait to regain energy? lol
Obnoxious. Looks like I have to do some of the pre loaded ideas before I can do things that actually matter to me.
Im not joking if someone is thinking something bad about life they should give this a go it's a great time to relax I love it!
So i forget account, yes even the emaik i used for this. Can we get an online save feature for the next uodate?
The health system is retarded. I should complete things whenever I want to
Really could use something for messaging, at least between friends. It is dumb that you can only talk to people by commenting on their achievements.
I love how simple and nice this app is.
Couldn't make an account. Kept telling me username already taken no matter how many I tried
Great app. Notifications don't work though... :/
Super cool idea, but not as customizable as I think it should be.
Productivity applications distract you from being productive in real life.
It welcomes you with a login screen and there is no login with google account option.
I like an idea and realization. Hope it will be improved with time.
Achievements others earned you should be able to earn
Great, unique, and user-friendly.
This game is definitely cool
Love this app!
It's keeping me active and I like the tasks that come with it, and adding my own to complete. I wish that an alarm or reminder could sound when certain achievements are available to complete again or if you haven't done one in awhile. Also, it would be 5 stars, but the app isn't notifying me when I receive comments or friend requests even though it is set to do so. It also needs a way to share the app to social media or to a friend.
I like the combination of provided achievements and the ability to easily create my own. Some of the early level achievements seem a bit too difficult though, especially in the Health & Fitness section, but it's not too difficult to unlock more options or create my own, easier tasks. Suggestions for the devs: it would be great to have a search feature, as some items could fit in several categories, and I have trouble finding it even though I can remember the title. An option to display achievements completed in the time period as locked would also help. Lastly, some kind of progress counter would be nice to have on the "once a day for a week" etc achievements. It's sometimes hard to remember when I started or if I missed a day.
I just got this, but it already helps me do something and fight depression. I like how simple and easy it is to use and how you can see other peoples goals. I think this will be fun to have and keep around for when I don't want to do anythin. I do think that you should have five hearts though. For more option and freedom.
This is so fun and enjoyable but Energy ruins it. At the start , you only have 3 Hearts of energy , and they are depleted by completing Achievements. One Heart regenerates after half an hour, so it's suggested you complete your achievements one at a time , rather than completing multiple.
I love this so much! I love it from the aesthetic to the whole concept. Not only is it motivating me to do daily tasks, but it is motivating me to do things I wouldn't normally think to do, and is encouraging me to use social media less! The aspect of unlocking additional achievements really works in keeping me motivated. One aspect I feel is missing however, is a tracker for accumulative tasks, I.e. "no additional salt for a week" - for example, you could add it to your goals, where it opens an additional tab for you to check you daily progress before achieving the overall weekly achievement. Something like this would definitely help me, as im often quite forgetful of what I have done over the course of a week/month! Otherwisd, excellent app :)
I love the app itself, I find it to be a great idea. But there's a few bugs that should be fixed. Such as not reciving notifications even though they're activated, not deleting custom achievements and sometimes not posting comments even if a message comes up saying that it has been sent.
I enjoy this app as it allows me to prioritize and organize my goals and work toward being more productive. I like that others can see and comment on my achievements, giving me more motivation to complete my goals. I can also see the achievements of others, providing further inspirado. My sole grievance is that I have yet to be able to add a profile picture. The option is there, but no matter what size or format I choose for my image, the app simply tells me there was a problem and fails uploading. No crash, but no profile picture either.
It's freaking impossible for me to play the game because I can't create an account.. No matter what username I pick or how random it is the game tells me it's already taken!
Overall, it is a fun and great application. I will change to 5 stars once my photo uploading problems is dealt with and PC-Mobile Progress sync. Have been unable to upload my photos on my phone. I don't want to do it on PC because it is not in sync with my phone's progress.
Great app, very motivating, energy is a good idea but poorly executed should be given in quicker intervals. Maybe setting up a way to add videos. Also, the community should be more open, would like to see a larger variety of people.
I pretty much never write reviews but as I really like the app I decided to make an exception :) I very much enjoy the idea, design and how you can unlock more challenges. It's crazy motivating especially if people around you got a profile as well! However I got a few improvement ideas: it would be great to have the option to like other peoples achievements and to be able to complete your friend's custom achievements. Also a few other people suggested a feature which allows you to track your progress (e.g. accomplish to read at least one chapter each day in a week). It would be also cool to be able to get additional exp for completing an achievement a certain amount of times in a row (e.g. one week streak -> +15 exp each time you complete the task) which would increase the motivation to create and stick to certain habits. (Also will the app be available for iOS in the near future? My girlfriend would love to get it as well.)

Its a nice concept, but its poorly executed. You create your own goals, and determine the rewards that come from it. Not that the reward means anything, particularly when you yourself set it. This app had inspired me to create my own app though off a different principal for the same general concept.
