Presenting a UK Birds Sounds compilation app with high quality sounds and songs of birds found in the United Kingdom! Reviewed by the popular BirdWatch Magazine:

Featuring the Barn Owl, Blackbird, Brambling, Bluethroat, Bullfinch, Jackdaw, House Sparrow, Nightingale, Redkite, and many more birds!
Bird Sounds can be played by tapping on a bird picture. All sounds can be saved as Ringtones, Notifications and Alarms by long pressing on a bird and selecting the relevant option.
Birds can be grouped by family or alphabetical order (with and without headings) using the Menu Settings.
A Birdwatching checklist is included allowing you to tick off birds you have seen. Tapping on a bird on the checklist screen allows you to view more information about the bird on Wikipedia or perform an image search via Google images.
Personal Lists can be created too! Create a list of your favorite birds, or add birds that you've seen on a recent bird watching trip. Birds can be added to your lists from the checklist screen.
Mini games are also included helping you to learn the different birds found in this app: Guess the Picture, Guess the Sound and Guess the Name.
There are no ads present in this app and all updates have no extra charge.
Permissions are required for saving birds sounds. All images and sounds used are royalty free.

I got the free version first and we thought it was such a nice app that I went straight to get this. Well worth the 60p. One slight improvement would be the ability to filter by season, but that's a minor thing on a very well made app. Well done and thank you for making it!

A very useful app for learning bird song. A couple of points, it may be helpful to have more than a single call, as many species have flight calls, alarm calls, etc. Also the quiz could do with some improvements as it tends to compare incompatible birds and it becomes a bit predictable.

A Fantastic app and much improved over the months. Nice photos and a great variety of different species. There is for me only one issue left. The quiz needs re-tuning as the choices you get are too tame, such as a duck sound is heard and your choices unclude one duck and 3 finches, now which is it? Duh!! Its no challenge esp. for those who want to learn. Other then these things i recommend it for learning the sounds.

Very good so far. Needs Reed Warbler to be added. Sound for Bittern is very faint and is partially obscured by the sound of Sedge Warblers.

I give 3 stars because, although its got good pictures with sounds, the checklist is useless as you tick so many (as low as 35+) and it starts unticking almost all of them (which dont even have a date option)! This app is just great, if you like birds.. Totally dull if you do not. Some of the samples could be more complete. For example the raven does not do its flying pig impression in this sample, which sounds like a perching bird
