Resolution Changer for Android
I always use this app on my devices. Works flawlessly every time! The additional screen space gained (in my case) is staggering.
Keeps my old note 2 going in terms of perf
Samsung J7 Prime
This is the only app that did this trick for me. Nice work guys! Really good!
Loaded on my galaxy note 2. Chose 240dpi. Phone worked fine until n restarted now its stuck on Samsung Logo
I really thought that this app was something
Keeps my old note 2 going in terms of perf
They just want your money. It does nothing no change at all!!!
Doesn't work for lg stylo 2.
Very useful for those of is with low vision
The app launches fine but nothing happens when you change the settings.
Tried different resolutions and saw no change. No change to HDMI output either.
Samsung Galaxy S III; Works as expected; One could use shell's wm command, the app provides a nice GUI && presets of various devices; Be sure to have a backup of your device's settings before messing w/ this app, though;
Did nothing
Does just what it says. Helped me fix some overscan issues I was having with my TV using a Galaxy S4. 100% recommended.
Just after changing the resolution, the device rebooted automatically and it freezed at the logo screen !! I had to do a factory reset to solve the problem. Very disappointed !! =(
The apparently does exactly as described. Frame rate on my Asus TF700t with Cyanogen 11 suffered in games from the native 1920x1200 resolution. This app allows me to drop the resolution to enjoy smooth gaming and crank it up for everyday use.
Works terribly on my 2013 Nexus 7. Also wrecked the layout of my home screen. Try resolution changer pro instead. It's buggy, but works, and it's free. Don't buy this garbage.
Android Lollipop
Purchased app to change resolution so I can display onto my 32 inch 720p TV and doesn't work. And no reply from developer
I spent the last couple days trying to fix an insufficient space error, only to realize this was the only app I couldn't install. 5gb free. Now it's too late to get a refund.
Exactly what I was looking for. It changes the resolution while still keeping everything natural looking. In particular, Google Maps is noticeably faster at lower resolution. One problem: the capacitive home keys no longer work, so I have to have another app running to create soft keys (eats into screen real estate)
I dropped my note 10.1, and about 3/4 of an inch of the left hand side of the screen is messed up and won't display anything. I was able to use the overscan feature of this app to move the screen over so that nothing would display on the messed up part. Not a perfect solution, but cheaper than buying a new tablet right now.
Nexus is not supported among presets. Each time i connect i need to try resize. And buttons and top bar won't go.
This app put my tab into a boot-loop death spiral. Had to reinstall firmware. Want my money back.
Not working on the galaxy s4 play edition. Causes most of the screen to go black and flickers a lot.
My GS5 is rooted, but it still does not work. The phone crashed, I had to reset the phone, and recover the data.
Please update to work on Android 5.
Hi resolution change is ok but i cant access my physical home and back button (htc one) only way to access is revert back to original resolution. Please help
I am using Nexus 10 and this app fixed my problems when using my HDTV... One request - can you add N10 as preset? I saved my own but it would be good to have it predefined... Thanks! To add: I love the "auto switch" feature, restores the original resolution when HDMI is unplugged. No restart... hope the screen lock can be removed....
This app is perfect, I struggled with other similar apps but once I stumbled across this gem it was smooth sailing!
Works well on my Samsung galaxy S3 with cyanogen mod 11, but it seems to be missing a very important feature. I can't figure out how to edit/delete user defined preset resolutions. Once you add a resolution to the list you're stuck with it unless you clear app data in which case you end up clearing all the resolutions you've added instead of just the one you wanted to remove. I thought maybe if I added a new one with the same name it would effectively "edit" it, but it adds a duplicate instead.
Loaded on my galaxy note 2. Chose 240dpi. Phone worked fine until n restarted now its stuck on Samsung Logo
Please update it for Android L and ART when it becomes available in the future.
Works perfectly
Application works great on the Mad Catz Mojo (Android TV Game Console) except it will not show the overscan options (which is why I bought the app). Options show fine on my Nexus 5 but not on the Mad Catz Mojo. I can change the resolution and DPI just fine!
Some settings don't work on my tablet . they cut the home and menu buttons out of the screen which is bad obviously. Please help trying to find the best setting for a few games
I have an AppRadio2 in the car and was looking for something that could automatically change screen PPI setting of my Nexus 5 to a lower setting to make better use of the larger screen when connected over HDMI. This application does exactly that - plug the phone, resolution and PPI changes to a preset you defined. Wonderful! However, transition back/forth isn't always smooth. Very often phone reboots upon HDMI disconnect. And when this happens, settings often remain half finished you have to go fix things manually, reboot.. Thankfully you can quickly restore things using the app. Maybe if the disconnect event is delayed a bit Resolution Changer would be more successful in restoring settings? Hopefully this app will get better. Looking forward for updates!
I purchased this app and tried to change my screen resolution, but caused my tablet to shut down and go into a soft brick state, the only way I could recover my tablet was to factory reset my whole device! I lost all my stuff! I factory reset the device and re installed it (giving the app the benefit of the doubt) and tried to change the resolution, and it did the exact same thing and I had to reset the device again! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!
