GPS Grid Reference - Full for Android
This app is OK, but there are problems. If your phone has no hardware compass, the current location marker is a tiny red spot that's nearly invisible. This should be easy to fix, but the author seems to have lost interest in this app and no longer responds to emails. This is a pity, because this could be a really good app.
Very comprehensive app which provides plenty of information. Superb.
With support for most major grid reference systems, a built-in compass and OpenStreetMap support, this application is perfect for military or emergency personnel, in addition to anyone whom spends large amounts of time hiking, bush-walking, etc... GPS Grid Reference is extremely accurate, quick to lock-on to a location by satellite, with my only complaint being that Pebble "smart" watches are not supported at this time.
After buying this app I ran in to hundreds of issues, so I contracted the developer and thorough a couple of email's and beta tests all my problems where fixed. Edit: Needs alot of work still, would be better if a bigger company with many devlepors took over. Also needs a new look as it looks very old.
I paid for the full version of this app just in case of emergency. The one time I *really* needed it, when out on the hill, I just got a screen telling me the app was unlicensed presumably because I was in the middle of nowhere with no network and the app could not connect to the app store. Didn't the developer think that people might need to use the app in places with no mobile signal?? It works fine otherwise just don't take it into the countryside where you might actually need to use it. Uninstalling.
Cleared data as advised and it's fully working now :) thank you help and support team.

Where are the uk os maps I read through reviews said it was great and had millitary maps well I can't find anywhere please help
It's a good app.
Good but will only display Google maps of late. Where have the OS maps gone?
Great for OS grid data and the compass is pretty good too!
No maps working right except Google. :-(
Compass not working it says failed to set Compass please ad I e
Freezes at %86. How do I get my money back? Nvm
Waste of money , OS maps do not load. After sales service is non existent ....non of my requests for assistance have been responded to.
Use it for Skywarn reporting.
No matter what I do, I can't download/transfer from PC or open any map. App doesn't seem to see any map.
Where are the OS maps????
Was looking for a tool I could use OFFLINE while hiking. As an engineer with a masters I don't consider myself dumb, but I just couldn't figure it out how to use the offline map function. No faq on website no contact just an error report link what I bet no one bothers to read. All in all doesn't do anything more than other free apps. DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THIS APP!!!

Pretty good & there's not a lot of things that impress me. The mgrs is good 4 cheating on land nav. 25id approved.
Really useful compass and OS grid ref tool
Used MGRS plus satellite imagery for great accuracy across continental USA.
Excellent used many times on bodmin moor Dartmoor and Exmoor. Works we'll and is accurate. L
Great app. Needs technical knowledge to use.
Waste of money do not buy. Doesn't even deserve a star
Best paid app for android!
Not bad
I found this because I needed a way to get coordinate information from Google maps. But it turns out the software handles more than just that. Very full featured. It's totally a bonus. The other Gps tools included really are essential and I am glad not much was overlooked. Offline maps is still in development really but I was able to make maps, not sure the program recognized them though.
Must be missing something. There is a help item on how to import gpx files, but is a mystery to me how this is done. Also can't work out a way of interacting between desktop google maps/earth tools and this app.
really useful tool used it to locate my 1 foot square plot of land in Scotland. that accurate
Originally had a bug in Droid Razr, but latest update solved the problem. Offline cache ability is very useful when in remote locations.
Just got it. Love it!!
Works fine on my LG Optimus P698. My only request - please add a scale to the map at every zoom level.
I use this app on my s3. Brilliant for walking.
I use it to mark game trails, rubs, scrapes, roosts, (etc.) on a military installation. Valuable tool which I credit for some success. Little rough on battery life. MGRS is right on! Use in conjunction with my tracks is invaluable.
With support for most major grid reference systems, a built-in compass and My Tracks integration, this application is perfect for military or emergency personnel, in addition to anyone whom spends large amounts of time hiking, bush-walking, etc... Extremely accurate and quick to lock-in a location by satellite, my only complaint is that this application is unable to be moved to removable storage (such as Micro SDXC memory cards), for which it loses two stars.
.....Not quite so good on HTC one
Once you download the user guide you are good to go.

A lot of work is still needed with in the app. One problem i seem to constantly have is it not finding my location even though other apps find me instantly. Also when useing the os maps i cant see what i am doing untill i have zoomed in. As the top map levels are mising needs a script to fill these in with lower ones or to not allow you to zoom out that far. Also could do with a UI / desgine boost.
