Nerdy Tip Calculator

Best tip calculator I've used. Very easy to use once you get the hang of it. I just wish you were able to "highlight and clear " instead of having to backspace all of the numbers.

It took forever to find this app. Well thought out. It's exactly what one needs to calculate when you're part of a group and want to pay your share. Needs some functional polishing but it's the last resort when you have to pay and get out.

I'm yet to find a better, more flexible tip calculator.

Most tip calculators assume you want to split a bill *equally*, so they ask only for the post-tax total. More often, though, what I want is to figure out what I owe for what *I* ordered. So I total that in my head and need to know both the tax and tip on it, and then I want to either round the total or round the tip. I must have looked at 20 apps before I found one that supports this workflow. This app is butt ugly and I wish the tip field were some other kind of control (e.g, slider), but it does the job.

Spent a lot of time finding just the right app, amazing how much time that took - only this one hit all the requirements. First I wanted one that could calculate the tip with or without the tax. Also I wanted to be able to enter the tax as a dollar value, most wanted it as a percentage - like I'm supposed to know the tax rate everywhere I go? Split the bill multiple ways - they all had that, and this one is missing the "round up" feature but I can type that in easily enough. And a nice clean easy to use interface, and a small footprint and doesn't feel the need to want to access my photos. Nerdy Tip Calculator is the clear winner. By the way the top downloaded app (over 1 million) is 8MB which seems incredibly big for such a simple app - didn't feel I could trust it.

Get's the job done quite well. My favourite tip app of the ones I've seen.

Presentation failure. An app is supposed to simplify a task. This app forces one to divide cost and then subtract cost from post tip amount to determine their split tip amount to write on their individual receipt. I AM UNINSTALLING THIS APP!

Okay, it is pretty. But isn't 'nerdy tip calculator' an oxymoron? Nerds do math in their head. Besides 20% is not that hard to figure. ..

Really hard to use on the incredible. Have to erase the zeros before entering in numbers. Too much hassle!

All it dus is do the math on a bill. Dont use this app u wil uninstal imediatly like i did.

tried them all. this is the best. you can edit anything on one page and watch it in real time do its math. it allows to not include tax in the tip calculations which most tip calculators stupidly overlook...

This is the only tip calc that includea the AMOUNT of the tip as well as the percentage so you can get a quick calculation of the tip BEFORE tax.

I tried about a dozen tip calculators but this is the only tip calculator that allows me to enter either pre-tax or after-tax amount.

For split checks and people paying with credit cards...needs to split tax per person (show it) and compute with split tip and total.

Does exaclty as advertised.

5* for the "fun factor", but geeks/nerds (whatever they're calling people like me these days) don't need calculators for MDAS & %! 8-)

Great app only downside is that it doesnt rotate landscape.

options for pre and post tax tipping, and calculates amount for multiple people - great if you paying for yourself and someone (or more) else in a large group. if you don't know or can't see the pretax total, just enter the after tax total and the tipping math works out.

Nice idea but fields keep reverting to original values when I move to the next. Using scroll ball horizontal works sometimes but no thanks.

I like the look but 2 be nerdy it needs more features. Doesn't clear the feilds, when I put in 8.92 I get 0.00892 + I can't enter the after tax total.

It would be great if fields cleared on getting focus; most of the time I enter amount after tax and I have to clear the 0.00 every time.

This was exactly what I was looking for. For those who want the full suite of options on their tip calculator, this one's for you. I recommend it.

Pretty useful app, but a few suggestions. 1. When entering numbers get rid of the default 0.00. 2. Use a number only OSK.

This app lets you put what you owe for your meal, then adds the tax, then tip on the pre tax cost...and the amounts on the screen. I like this feature because I eat out with friends a lot and this way you can determine exactly what you owe!

Best tip calculator. However the Bill field should start as blank not 0.00. Need clear field to enter any value.

Didn't work with my Behold 2. Fields would auto file with NaN. Unintalled the program.

I love this app but it doesn't work on my evo3d. Please fix.

Good application, but you always need to backspace before you enter any numbers. Would be better if you didn't need to do that.

Has the best interface.But doesn't do its job. On HTC Desire, it fails to retain entered values. Becomes "0.00" the moment. I move to the next field.

I want to like it, but like so many others, it's prone to rounding error. Otherwise a great program.

Love that it adds tax to give total! Wish it had arrows for easy up/down of tip percentage or number of people. Field zeros are annoying.
