Cerberus anti theft for Android
25.04.2014 "Please open Cerberus on your device and log in to access the app settings, you should not see the "Buy license" option anymore. This means that the lifetime license for your account is active." 13.05.2017 Dear user, buy license - 5€ per year. We have different understanding of LIFTIME word.
Most of the features like lock power menu when locked, remote lock and change lock code and take snapshot while switching ON and OFF does not work. Even sent mail to support but still did not get any reply. Confused whether to pay for this or not.
The latest version eats battery like crazy. I have no idea why but my phone used to last around 1½ day and now without even touching it around 10% is lost every hour. The memory thingy tells me that Cerberus has "unusally high" battery usage, which it never had before. So something is definitely wrong here.
Police were able to retrieve my stolen phone 100% due to this app. It geo-located my phone to an apartment building, provided multiple photos of the thief, and let the police track him right to his door by having my stolen phone dial out on speakerphone to one officer while his partner knocked on doors. As soon as he heard the knock over the phone, they knew they had the right place. This app totally saved my phone. Thanks!
App process keeps getting killed on latest nougat version 7.1.1. I turned off battery optimization, but still after few hours of phone inactivity web service fails to my find my phone. It seems like app poorly optimized for nougat doze feature.
Great app but I bought a year subscription for my pixel and recently upgraded to the s8 and now it won't let me switch my subscription to my new phone and can't get the company to email me back so wasted my money which sucks. If you don't upgrade your phone you should be happy with your purchase.
Purchased this app years ago, never fails to impress every I demo it. Used a few times in anger to find a lost device and its worked as expected. Lots of noise recently over birthday licenses and I've got 6 more licenses to purchase as a result but I can't hold that against the dev.
I love having this third-party tracking app that lets me quickly manage my phone from the website dashboard. It also adds several features that the built-in security features don't have such as blocking the power menu when the phone is locked, taking pictures when the wrong unlock code is entered, and recording audio or video by remote commands. The only thing to beware of is that some heavily company-modded Android phone like Samsung's might not let some features work, like the blocked power menu. Works perfect on the Pixel!
I tried my phone after installing. At first it work just fine, then i cant open the app which is hidden by dialling the password. Later with the dashboard, it cant even track, unhide the icon.. Literally nothing. Even after restarting my phone. Pls do correct this. This is a paid app btw.
Great app. Works very well and you won't see it until it is needed. Much better than other "find my phone" alternatives. Also great support. I had a problem with my new phone and they got back to me with the solution very quickly
I gave these creeps all of my info only to find out afterward that this is only a trial. There are plenty of free apps that do the same thing just as well if not better.
I was happy with the app until it told me my lifetime license had expired, when I went online to try and find an email to contact and query what had happened, there was non to be found. This was quite disappointing and took away from the experience of a good functioning app
Developer thinks I violated Terms and Conditions for checking my own phone and blocked me from any activity. Emailed customer service and no replies. I can honestly say this is a way to ditch all those customers with the lifetime service bought in the early days. Now they have been notifying them their lifetime service is ending and to jump on board to a month to month plan. Deceptive practices, much?
Tested the app before I purchase. The ability to see where it is on a map and also the alarm work perfectly. However the commands that cause the phone to take a screenshot seem to not work. I received emails saying "picture taken" however there's no pictured on the phone or in the email. Unsure wether to purchase for a year or not.
How do I know you dont regret making us pay only 5 bucks for a lifetime license within a few years? The app is the best one available on the store with unique features but you screwed it so hard guys, I can't trust you anymore
Obtained this app on a life time license. Was informed today that I no longer had a lifetime license and had to pay to continue using it. Extremely dishonest company, to go back on a promise and business model like that. Very unsatisfied.
I was told this was the app I need for device security. The person I heard this from paid a one time price for a license. Well you can't do that any more. I don't subscribe to apps. I'll pay once and own the license perpetually. Even if it were 15 bucks. But instead you're getting a big 0 from me. Uninstalled, unsubscribed, unimpressed.
I've always used this app and always loved, perfect. But in s7 edge the power menu block does not work properly, a number of times the turn down options are showed (I'm pretty sure you guys heared about this issue a lot)I will not renew my subscription if this issue don't get fixed.
Not worth at all. Most of the functionalities were blocked on my account as it believed I violated TOS.. that too on my own personal phone. On top of that customer care is absolutely unprofessional & won't help at all. Better to buy some other app.
Had this app for years now, and it's great! Thankfully I never had to use it, but every once in a while I test it out and it always works flawlessly. Worth every penny having that sense of security.
On Android nougat, when on lock screen, if there's a notification and someone pull it down, the quick settings will appear letting the thief toggle the airplane mode on. I don't know if you guys can disable it, but I hope you do, cause it's a serious security issue.
The app have a big problem! I did 5$/year. But All days I have to turn on the "Block Power Menu" funcion... Please fix it!
Lifetime membership my ass, I just got a notification saying it was expired! Remember lifetime according to Cerberus doesn't mean the dictionary definition.
Doesn't work on Galaxy S8+!! I've always installed this app in all my smartphone (HTC one/one m9 / S6 edge+) but now it doesn't take the picture when the user types a wrong code and the power button is still working in the lock screen despite I set up the Cerberus app for not doing so. Please fix these problems, I love this app
Doesn't seem to work with ONEPLUS 3. No contact with handset messages. Unable to unhide from app draw. Unable to open app using dial code. Uninstalled
I obtained the app on a lifetime license. The I was informed that I not longer had a lifetime license and had to pay an expensive monthly rate to continue using it. Not offer lifetime payment. Extremely dishonest company. Completely unsatisfied.
The security features provided by this app is a must! With so many ways to alert you and varies triggers in the event that possibly the phone was being stolen I'm glad I have this app!
Useless with factory reset. If the robber wipe your system and do not grant permissions to Cerberus (installed as a system app), the app won't be able to locate your phone or do anything it says it does.
1. They make you accept all the intrusive permissions (fine, I assume it all needs it to track and all) 2. They make you sign up to their website (fine, this is how I'll use the app) 3. They tell you, once you've done all this, that your 6 day trial will expire... in 6 days. Never once did they say it was a trial, if I had known, I wouldn't have given it all those permissions. So now I have to restore from a nand backup to make sure this junk is gone. Sketchy at best. The kicker? Can't use Play store credits to buy this app, they want my Paypal or credit info. NEXT!
Some of the things that make it so awesome scare me a little. Is it really giving out an unencrypted message...
Saved me $450.00 and put a local scumbag in cuffs. Only thing better than this app is the look on said scumbags face when he opens the door to you and 2 local officers.
Where is the pricing info? Not on their webpage...not in the google store...instead you need to install their app and jump through million hoops just to find out the price :'(
I'll give this app a 5 star rating if I could convert this app into system app. It seems that the disguised version and the orig version of cerberus does not work when i try to convert this app as a system app using Link2SD as stated on the website.
It is a must have app, and very reasonable. I would, however have appreciated support for 3rd party lockscreen apps like Next by microsoft. Otherwise good job guys!
NOT HAPPY
It lets you track your phone, get information about the person trying to abuse it, can be integrated as a system app and works flawlessly. Recommend it!
Excellent app. One problem though. When I get the email of the video of the intruder, it's not genuine. I keep getting sent the video from a prior intrusion. Other than that, very good
Well if we don't count that they lied about free version few years ago to get a lot of ppl using this app.. It's great.
There was a promotion for one day where Cerberus advertised the app is free for life (free updates )... Today i get a message saying if i want i can buy a monthly subscription because mine is expired. What the hell Cerberus. I still keep the mail where you say it's free for life...this is bull!

Seen the other reviews and worried about account getting banned while testing but so far, all is good. I installed this as root and moved it to system. Accidentally factory reset my device so perfect test of the undelete-ability. The cool thing, even though my phone us now unrooted, the app still functions as root and didn't have to be reinstalled. All features work well. Almost looking forward to the hunt when my device gets stolen. Would love if photos and videos were higher resolution and not emailed.
