RimDetector

This simple demo app demonstrates different wheels and rims for your car using augmented reality. Simply point the camera at the car to see the new wheels and rims superimposed over your car!

This is made possible with special shape detection software that processes and enhances images from the camera in real time. Image processing for the app is done through an open-source framework called OpenCV.

Our app isn’t polished as we’re just exploring the potential of OpenCV. If improved, this technology could be used in mobile apps for. automotive brands, wheel shops etc.
