Work Shift Calendar

The calendar works great, I absolutely love this app, but with the latest update, it no longer wakes the phone to activate the alarm -- instead, the alarm came on as soon as I turned the screen on, 4 minutes after it was scheduled to ring. Also, the shift times and alarm times are all showing the letter K instead of a number in the hour position (i.e. my 4:45 alarm says K:45) Please address these issues if you can. Otherwise this app is wonderful.

As a nurse who works 12 hour shifts, three days a week this app does all I need. I paint on my schedule once a month in about 30 seconds. Then I sync it to my Google Calendar in about 30 seconds. No typing, no clicking boxes or times. Just paint. As a Samsung phone/tab user, just make sure you have the Google Calendar as your main calendar - Samsung defualts to their own calendar.

I really like the app and it took only about 5 minutes to set it up with my basic schedule, and from there I set up my wages and holidays. There was a time when employers would give you a shift card for the year but most do not offer them anymore - The Shifter allows me to have my schedule for as many years as I want to set it up for.

I work non-repeating, rotating 24 hours a day shift work. It used to be a pain to keep track of when I was working. I love this calendar. And the easy export to google calendar is fantastic. My only complaint is that I can't find anywhere to put in a location for my work, so I get accurate driving times in Google. Otherwise, this is the best calendar app I've found yet.

I work and 18 week rota comprising 7 work shifts 4 spare shifts Sundays and odd days off. This app won't let me make it an 18 week cycle and if I want to add a new shift or something changes, adding a new box defaults to number 1 and moves my other shifts up a box. For example my shift 1 is in box 1, shift 2 in box 2 etc. However if I add a new box shift 1 is now in box 2.

I like the versatility. I wanted an app that would allow me to enter a 12 week repetitive shift rotation while still allowing me to add/delete/edit individual shifts. It can sync with Google apparently too but I haven't figured out how yet...

After I failed to find an alarm clock app with complex repeats, I found this app which addressed my needs perfectly even though I'm not a shift worker. I just had to change my paradigm from complex alarm clock to shift scheduling with alarms. It works great for my daily office job which has pre-workday meetings at 7, 7:30, or 8 am with some odd repeating and alternating cases.

Bought pro. Won't upload to Google Calendar despite multiple attempts... Why? What's the point? UPDATE: Nearly two weeks and no reply from dev after I emailed them... Disappointed. UPDATE: Dev replied and said a fix would be in next update... Waiting patiently

This is perfect for those who have a contract based on a hourly rota. Every little detail helps. The number of hours, shifts and even hourly rate keeps me well on track. It's fantastic and pefect. Much recommended to all my colleges and everyone other.

I haven't tested out the alarms or actions yet but the inputting of data and visual layout seem quite clear. A nice feature that I hadn't expected is the ability to calculate income from a range of dates but it would be good if you could change the setting for the default length of the date range so that you don't have to adjust the date range each time. For example, I get paid four-weekly but the app defaults to 30-day ranges. Another suggestion would be to set different volumes for different alarms.

I wish my schedule could be copied multiple times but the program can't handle it. I wish I could also add things like pay days. But need this app to help schedule things on my days off. Without it I would have to work out the days off.

Set up my repeated 6 on 4 off with the option of editing shifts to include annual leave etc. Notes on days appear as notes not a symbol so easy to see what's on each day

The app is very well thought out and very functional. The designer is remarkably fast at responding to emails. I wish there was a way to add events to a day or make notes without the entire note being crammed into the tiny square for the day. If that were the case, this would be my only calendar but for now, I'll still use my Google calendar for events and this one for just my shift. But, really love the calendar.

I bought the pro version but then now I have lost access to the ability to upload onto Google doc. Also the calendar has mistakes in syncing with Google calendar. Not very reliable because I don't want to check for mistakes

No more facing the wall just to looking for the schedule. Now sitting duck and Took out the phone just go to apps n open. And smile all days.. 5 stars thanks

But the blinking red light is so annoying. A circle around current date would be ok or just a simple highlight...

It's been helpful because I can put my partners shift pattern in a 2nd calender and then compare shifts when I need to. Only small gripe is that I have a very long shift pattern of 100 weeks so can't get the app to automatically repeat the pattern for me.

I have a 2 week on 2 week off roster which meant it went into the next month when trying to paint it. Took a long time to realise was a 'long shift pattern' hidden away. Also wanted it simple as in day on and day off.. had to make each day 24hrs because it was splitting days up and looking like a mess. Consider making this simpler as an option.. also tutorial could be clearer.. id recommend to my work colleague but i know in present form id have to sit down and explain to them as its confusing presently imo.. but has potential

It does exactly what I wanted. I'm only giving it 4 stars because it was a little confusing to change what times the shifts were, but I figured it out.

Its brillant really helped me a lot and as i work different shifts its nice to just be able to look and see ny the colour if im working nights earlys or lates , the only dissppointing thing is is that i cant change on the app the different start and finish times as mine vary

This app manages to customize 2 schedules, with sick days, vacation days, appointments, your regular on and off days, OT, You can change colors, and titles make your own codes, and titles for each item. It can handle shift work ... With some creativity it works for both of us.

Great app but it does take a fair bit of time to set up a shift pattern. It's a shame that when adding notes, it overwrites the shift times I put in.

My only minor criticism is that I sometimes need to look backwards at the calendar, when I do this, everything is gone, so I cannot refer to last months shifts for example.

Has exactly what I need for keeping track of my inconsistent work schedule at a hospital. My life would be in shambles without it!

Good app. It would be great if it was easier to set up a payment calculator. As an example I get paid every four weeks and setting up pay periods manually is a chore. I'd be nice to have such option in the app.

Great app, really helpful. Although found a bug/problem. Most of the times it does not change sound mode to vibrate /silent. And sometimes when it does it doesn't change back ad specified.

Easy to use read and edit. Would be 5 stars if it could sync with another phone so wife could have copy that I could update. Also can't get it to sync with google calender even pro version. Impressed owner replied to my email within 24 hours.

Finally found a quick way to put my shifts in a decent looking calendar and it can be easily shared on WhatsApp! Only thing is I wish I could change the background and have photos visible in the month view...

Brilliant app. Easy to paint the shifts and to add overtime and holidays. Notes make it easy to keep tabs on info related to work. The widget allows you to see at a glance when you are working and off. Best thing is the Google calendar integration. This means that you can see if you have any appointments if asked to work overtime on a date. I use this for my husband and he has access to my Google calendar so if he is asked to work an extra shift he can see if I have any hospital appointments or something else on that day. Worth every penny. Best shift planner I have ever used.

A little tricky to get used to putting shifts in, but good once you get the hang of it. Love that I can have more than one schedule, both my husband and I work shift work, so it's nice to be able to quickly look and see our schedules!

Great app. Easy to input and change shifts but it's hard to accidentally delete them like some other apps. Love that I can create and compare multiple calendars and even share calendars.

It's my first time to install this app and so far very good. What I would like to see if developer could add more colour changes as this is really only for shift changes ie for holidays, roster days, sick days working or owing days to colleagues, maybe I'm to picky but would be handy but overall this is a really good app. Thankyou delvelopers

Pretty good little app, would be better if you could add more things than just two shifts to each day. I.e on-call & morning shift & location.

I work crazy shift hours with no pattern & have searched a while now to find an app to easily manage my time with - I'm pleased to say i have finally found it. Thank you so much for a well thought out & seriously easy to use, functional shift calendar. I'm also really pleased to see it's continued development - it's not just another dump & run app. 5 well-deserved stars.

Does the job well and is easy to use, even for a technophobe like me. Lots of colours to code your different shifts and easy to add/change things if you get overtime or an extra day off or whatever. No complaints from me, and it's all good so far, hence the 5 stars.

One thing that would make it better is if when editing you could lock it on a specific type shift so that you can edit multiple days (not in a row) rather then have to go into editing each time.

I haven't tried other calendars so have nothing to compare it to (except google), I love the colour coding, very handy for quick visual reference. Easy to set up repeat activities, and good for shifts that may change at a moments notice, easy to remove or add days. Still yet to work out all you can do with it. Can't fault it yet.

Take a little getting used too but does what it says. The widget is also very useful. Would have liked a few other features.

I used another shift calender before but it pales in comparison to this one. You can split cells to show two different items, customize it for your own use and best of all use it to schedule your appointments and set a reminder for those appointments. I used to have to use two different calenders but Shifter is now all I need. It's all encompassing.
