About NetSlide Lite

NetSlide displays images and videos from local and remote sources (internal memory, local network or the internet), turning your device into a smart digital frame.
You can use it to show your media files or your friends' (e.g. connect to their Instagram account). Additionally, it can display extra information (exif) from your pictures, including comment tags (that you can add from your computer, to describe your holiday photos), date of creation or a mini map from where the photo was taken.
It has trigger functions so that it will start automatically at certain events. You can, for example set the slideshow to start when you get back home and plug your device to recharge.

Pro version has extended functionality suitable for business that want to synchronize multiple devices to show content. A use case example is setting up a Dropbox source and update with offers for a shop or a chain of shops (e.g. deal of the day for supermarkets, newly added properties for a real estate agency or corporate events display with stock market ticker).

Please contact through email if you have any problem configuring or running NetSlide.

have to add network sources manually ... other apps have network searches

Could be a great app but it has one critical bug, it never actually shows any of my pictures. I tried setting up both dropbox and local sources. Each time the app just shows a spinning throbber in the corner and never shows a single picture.

Dear team ,net slide app is perfect apk for my business.but one future is missing for that my team .kindly add hide system bar option with your app for full screen signage .

I have just one issue and it's actually the only reason I need this kind of app. I am accessing home network source, no problem. The folder I access has no images, it has over 100 subfolders with images. I cannot find a way to have the subfolders listed as options. It chooses the first subfolder with images, on its own and displays its images and then goes to the next. Is there a way to bring up the subfolders as an index for choosing? I've tried '*' in the path, but that has not worked, so I expect it's not supported.

After spending a few hours rooting the device, building the CIFS kernel module, and then trying to work around Android 4.4's mount namespaces, I decided a userspace approach would be easier. I found this for a slideshow viewer and it works as described. Had it up and running in a couple of minutes. Tap it a few times to hide the notification bar and get a fullscreen slideshow. People are sometimes too worried about whether something is flashy - visitors aren't going to see the configuration options anyway, only the photos. Update: Buuut... the ads that appear at the top of the screen *DO* ruin this app as a full-screen slideshow. -2 stars for subtracting value from the lite version in a way that makes it less suitable, instead of adding it to the pro version.

I'm hoping to be able to get this running soon. Having real trouble updating an existing network source...keeps crashing with a java exception. Will post exception message here in due course. Buttons need rearranging to be more intuitive.... the 'add' button function isn't obvious right away... need standard 'ok' & 'cancel' somewhere on bottom.. or the currently popular tick and cross icons. Also ideally would combine the slideshow facility into a file browser to allow dir to be selected real-time.

Simple app but functional. One problem that needs fixing: some special characters in passwords such as the inverted bar () lead to a login error. Otherwise, it would be nice to have an auto pan (Ken Burns effect) in the slideshow and the possibility of touch zooming and recentering.

and unusable. No pitch & zoom, no folder display/source location selector to select only a folder... no manual sliding to next image.

This only SMB Photo viewer I found that could actually access the pictures on my server running WHS2011. Works flawlessly with the many directories and thousands of pics stored on it. I will be purchasing the pro version. To the reviewer below who couldn't get it to work, did you press the "add" button after entering a source? I made that mistake, but the help file soon had me sorted out and running.

Never written a review before but had to on this looked for a long time for an app to randomly play a slideshow from my NAS this is the one and includes video clips as well. Forget the likes of Skifta this is Brilliant. Worth more than 5 stars. Thanks

Looks promising, but I can't seem to figure out how to get it to work with Reddit, which is the only thing I want it to do.

This app works great and does almost everything I'm looking for. It seems like there's no gif support though. Any chance that could change in the near future? I'd gladly pay for the full version if this gets added.

Thanks for update fixed a lot of bugs. I'd like to be able to edit sources and maybe even create from as retyping data can be frustrating.

Directory on my server is set to everyone ...etc. Can access server files through ES explorer without user name and password but this app keeps saying permission denied (or equivalent) Insufficient explanation on screen to resolvennn.nnn.n.nn nor anonymous@nnn.nnn.n.nn does not work. so cannot use it - would be much better if an anonymous example was given

Improvements suggested: Allow picture manipulation while paused (zoom, pan etc.) Allow option for larger pictures

Cute little toy, works very well, doesn't really have any practical use. Windows users, make sure extensions are small letters.

There are things in this app that puzzle me even though the fundamental principle of accessing pics on the net is something i need and for this i am thankful. this is the only app i have found that allows me to access my pics on the nas and view them. however, if one designs an app this useful, and allows users to pause the slide show by taping on the pic, why, oh why, didn't you include the ability to page back and forth through the pics? why not be able to save several shares as buttons and recall them at a touch? also... why not allow us to choose the pics to be on the show instead of allowing only entire folders? granted, then, you would be wise to give a thumbnail list of the folder which is more work and perhaps beyond your scope but for those of us dying for a pic app that accesses the net, your app would stop being a somewhat useful toy to a must have app. there is little competition out there. yours would easily be the best. granted most of the sheep out there who are happy following the norm cannot see the need but those of us who have rooted devices need this. who's with me?!

Works good! But quit if changing to landscape. Could have a menu to bring up info etc. Zoom and directory thumbs would be great! Ugly Icon.. Tab
