I've tried the new hub and it's horrid. I spent a small fortune on my iris and now on June 30th I'm forced to use a hub that doesn't function as well as the original? No thanks. I'll be migrating to another brand.

It works. It is called "Change". It is different and not like easy to learn and understand. This should have been all worked out before putting it out to the public. My keypad use to make a chirp sound now it buzzes and my wife can't hear it when a door is open. It you turn the alarm on the keypad chirp. Why did that change. Now it get support you sit in hold for a long time. Lowe's cause this by not doing it right and dropped it in the public. I like it and everything works.

We have attempted the migration wizard but so far the hub isn't recognizing or connecting to the system. Very frustrating.

I have a brand new V2 hub and after reading all the reviews and feedback, it will stay in the box. After dealing with Lowe's CS just to get the new hub I see that my efforts were in vain. Maybe some day when Lowes gets their act together I might consider upgrading, but for now it won't be happening.

Gen 1 took a giant step backward!!!!! 3-4 months ago magic allowed me to get a text or set off alarm if a sensor was opened for a specified period of time (ie garage door or home door was opened for 30 min),,, This is no longer an option!! What is going on at IRIS??? Some heads need to roll... you even messed up Gen1.

By me reading the reviews about the next generation upgrade it scary NO WAY this can be happening again, I spent to many hours with tech support too get me to this point, NO interface on a laptop that's ridicules [IS THAT TRUE], only a single user, no Iris voice, not pairing to all devices, less rules to custom fit your house. Been a year now since I purchased and only store credit if the store will even take it back. Im paying for the premium service but REFUSE to trouble shoot some half finished

Nothing in the information tells you IN BOLD LETTERS that the Website interface will be disabled during the upgrade !!!!!!!!!! This is a Terrible CONVERSION AND THE ANDROID APP is confusing! The android app crashed several times on my Galaxy phone. IF YOU ARE SATISFIED WITH GEN 1 DO NOT UPGRADE! I waited for 30 min to talk to customer support and there is no target time date for a companion website to monitor your GEN 2 IRIS System to be ready!!. If you lose your phone you are out of luck. IF YOU WORK IN AN ENVIRONMENT THAT DOES NOT ALLOW PHONES FOR SECURITY REASONS....YOUR HOME WILL BE UNPROTECTED FOR 8+ HRS. DO NOT UPGRADE UNTIL THIS IS FIXED!!!! I hope IRIS reads these concerns. I am sorry I upgraded. This is not friendly at all. Version was had the web app that was really easy to use. I miss the dusk and dawn settings. At this point I am thinking of going through the pain of down grading. I'll give it a bit of time with the hopes that IRIS team will fix this. Whose idea was this anyway??

AFTER. . . If you cut my Iris 1.0 hub offline or try too make it fade too black or choose too offer no more updates, without a full refund of everything you sold me . . . all you are looking for is a Class Action Lawsuit . . .mark my words. No stars Before Happy, I went with IRIS . . . instead of ADT / Pulse unit . . . I have full control over this program, can only get better over time . . . Very Satisfied with the overall product an program, premium pay it's worth it. . .5 stars

I have had the Gen1 hub since it first came out. I love it. Features were a little weak at first but after a year things got very good. Now they are discontinuing support for Gen 1 on June 30, 2016. I have been reading nothing but horror stories on Gen 2 and when I call customer service to see what is true I wait on hold indefinitely. I have had days where I waited over 3 hours and still never got a human. WTF? The Gen 1 system is good and they should allow people to use it until Gen2 is fixed

Just for the love of mental health make sure not to upgrade. I've got a fairly large setup right now working great with multiple range extenders, sensors, smart everything, and I'm terrified of upgrading because of gen 2 reviews. If that happened to me I'd have switched services. I'm happy to keep paying for premium on version 1.

The next generation upgrade is a joke. Don't do it. I can't even get cameras to record on specific events. Phone app is not thought through, wish I would have read these before I pulled the plug on Generation 1, which worked fine. BEWARE... Would give it a neg star if I could. Hope they fix it, or this crap will be out of my house.

NIGHTMARE. Do not convert to Next Generation System!!!!!!! I cannot say this with enough conviction. DO NOT CONVERT. Nothing about this New Gen. seems to be ready for the market, much less your home. It is not user friendly, no website capabilities, nothing you have installed works correctly. If I didn't have the $ tied up in this useless product, I'd scrap it in a milisecond. If you're thinking of reliable home security, Go Elsewhwere!!!!

I agree with other users. This should not have been released with out having a website to control it. There is now web's app, only phone app. Don't like it. Once you register it the old iris is gone forever.....

I have 5 v1 systems with doors, smart plugs, smart buttons, etc. I have had these systems for almost 2 years. They were awesome, now I upgraded one to v2 and now I am trying to buy a v1 on eBay to go back. No ability for smart button to turn off smart plug... So easy, they must not care about their customers to put an unfinished upgrade on the market. Now wishing I bought Z Wave instead.

Had system almost 2yrs now. This latest app update is more responsive controlling devices. Iris 2.0 still does not support the backup celluar modem so, I have to stay on 1.0 so, I'm glad they are still making improvements on the 1.0 platform! KEEP THE IMPROVEMENTS COMING IRIS!!!

End of days for IRIS for me. Bait and switch. Switched ( tried to ) generation 2 and won't connect now and Lowes now tells me they won't support generation 1 even though they are charging me $10.95. / month. They require a charge card entry in software to setup hub.

Have had this v2 since released and it is nowhere near as good as v1. I used to control door locks and allow when people could access those doors. This app can not do that. When I sent the command to unlock a door in v1 it was quick to unlock. With v2 it takes almost a minute to send the command. Very disappointed with this product. Had hoped they would improve the app.

I have had a 1st Gen installed for about 6 months (along with the app) and it has worked very well. I had a problem with the smart thermostat, but it was replaced under warranty without any hassle at all. . It does everything I need/want it to, so I have no complaints at all. I use it for door access via smart locks, window and door sensors for alarm, smoke/co2 and flood detection, and power consumption monitoring. All of the devices work just as described.

Do not update this app of you're still using the 1st GEN HUB... You'll lose all functionality. I can't control or monitor any sensors /devices. I'm growing tired of Lowes - their hardware and software should work. They've had enough time to work the hugs out, but with every software or firmware update we have problems. Check their Twitter feed.

I was wondering why the free service required the credit card. If read the privacy policy for the terms and conditions. If you exceed the limits of the basic service your credit card will bill $9.99. Why not limit the service!!!!

**new comment**I just updated my iris v2. I didn't see the comments until it was time to install the app. I'm so upset. Some of my devices didn't even transfer. Earlier v1 was great, now I'm lost. I spent a lot of money for my security (being that i have a violent ex) now what should I do Iris/Lowes ******************************OLD MESSAGE* AIl have is the 17 light switches, 16 contact, and thermostat. I love being able to control things in my house. I want to get the cameras next but the reviews are iffy
