Transport for Edinburgh for Android
Everything was fine for me until last update Im afraid. Thing is that now: 1.app doesn't recognize my location even with GPS on . 2. Trip plan either doesn't load at all or shows only the results with bus numbers and times, when you want to show the route with map it takes you straight back to plan trip m. 3. If you want to check the routes of bus lines by selecting exact one app crushes to desktop. It's unusable now.
Shows "Due" misleadingly even when bus is being held back as per schedule, at other times after bus has passed the stop. Google Maps is more accurate than Lothian Buses' own app sometimes. On the uphand, it mostly works and you can see where the bus position is on the map. Ignoring the occasional crash, just improve the accuracy.
Like the app, easy to use and works well. Sharing tickets is very handy. However very slow to open and often crashes the first time I open it. Annoying when bus full of people waiting.
Both buses we caught using this app went a completely different route to the one shown. Quite long term diversions. USELESS!
Safe to load, very quick response from team for crash with Nexus. Very impressed seems to respond faster loading, & on to map. Well done.
As an infrequent bus user, I was almost always struggling to find changes for my bus ticket at the bus stop. This app was supposed to help me with this problem, but it doesn't - the £10 minimum spend requirement make it equally difficult to decide which type of ticket to buy to suit my future travel needs. Why is this requirement in place? Or why don't you simply support Android Pay as some other travel apps? There are more phones supporting NFC nowadays, and the current firm of m-tickets is hardly the most convenient and secure.
No widget so can't access favourites directly, which is essential, and can't migrate favourites from previous app. Contrary to screenshots does not tell you the actual distance a bus is from a stop. Will keep using the old app.
Times are approximate, rendering this app pretty useless at times. Works rest of the times, but that's not good enough
This app is really useful, use it every day. It does crash quite frequently though
With the latest update it crashes every time it's put into the background, and often will just sit with the loading animation when trying to get bus times. Devs: scale your fleet to handle the load & put in a retry loop.
Is fabby when it actually works but it Crashes constantly, isn't synchronised to bus trackers at actual bus stops nor to live tracker on app. Causes system failures on Android and ios devices.
Slow to open and unreliable. I've missed at least 4 trams this month from the app taking several attempts and 30 seconds plus to open so I can scan the QR code. Sometimes it just doesn't work and I've had to buy another ticket at the stop. I have a long commute and if i miss the tram, I miss the train, then hit traffic etc etc Sort it!
Every time I open it the app closes itself. Completely useless.
Always let down, showing bus coming, but never came, and you late for other options as well because you rely on that
It's just always wrong.
Poor design. No access to line timetables and the trip planner completely inefficient.
Has been perfect for months and now no longer tracks any bus accurately, ruins all timing making me late
Use to work properly but I cannot see at what time the buses are coming anymore
Not user friendly and very buggy.
Good app sill a few crashes but getting better
Slow, keeps crashing.
Fixed, excellent response from the developers.
Gets crashed when asked for a route
Generally good.
Pretty much what you would expect from LRT
Very good service the lothian buses
Crashes on open
Simple to use.
Nexus 6p Android 7.1.1
Generally okay, but sometimes, just as you start to become comfortable with it, it gets route timings very wrong. I was told to leave home at 14:17 to catch a bus which arrived at 14:15, and would arrive at the tram stop at 14:20 so that I could get the 14:00 tram. These timings made absolutely no sense but at first all I saw was the instruction to leave at 14:17. I came close to missing my flight because of this.
Its a good app and very useful but I can't view any in depth information on the bus routes like I could before and the app is a lot slower than usual
This app is just not compatible whatsoever with my Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. Every time you attempt to open details about particular bus routes, the app crashes.
Crashes a lot. The X47 route is missing too.
Please fix. Samsung Galaxy SIII on CyanogenMod 11 (snapshot 2016-01-15). Was working fine before about two updates ago.
The app is good. Now the timetable bares no relation to the actual arrivals. Please update. The 39 service is particularly crap
A great app..up to date, and accurate bus times. Couldn't be without it.Unlike the old paper timetables-this tells u when the next bus is due & using location services, how long(estimate) it'll take to get to desired bus stop. Would recommend this app!
Crashes when you try to look at a route map, the timer is always wildly different to the bus stop digital signs (shouldnt they use the same source?) Generally just rather useless and only adds confusion.
This app is terrible, it's slow, unresponsive and crashes constantly! I'm often stood in front of driver trying to get app to display ticket! I've actually lost money with this app so I wouldn't trust it! Much like their WiFi it's useless
Since last update it will not load timetables, trackers or even save stops. Very poor effort.

Used this app for the first time this morning. Took me to regent terrace instead of regent Street to catch the x15. Estimated the walk there would take 7 minutes. It took 10 easily, and another 10 to walk back down regent terrace to where the bus stop was actually located. Awful start to my day.
