Wonderful cameras are rendered largely useless by the complete garbage of this software (as well as for PC and MAC). As much as I like the cameras connected to a monitor while at home, I would have never bought them had I known how bad the apps were. Completely random when it actually works, and on the off-chance it does, it is VERY slow to refresh no matter how fast your internet connection is.

App doesn't work on the new Samsung Note 7

is this app ever going to work on Android everytime try to open it crushes immediatly very unhappy customer spend all this money and not able to access ever on my phone

Garbage. Works once and then constantly crashed whenever you try to open it it. Lorex is a JUNK company. Horrible customer service and warranty is worthless. If you are reading this then you probably bought a Lorex system. Sorry!

App crashes post launch under Lollipop. For the amount of money folks are paying for the camera system, this is unacceptable.

App is worthless since the lollipop update for Android. Lorex has had plenty of time to resolve this issue, clearly a lack of concern for their customer's satisfaction. **UPDATE App finally working, no excuse for Lorex in taking 7 MONTHS to update this to the Android platfom as it's such an essential / basic feature, IMO. Has worked with the iPhone updated iOS the entire time.

It cuts out so much im losing my mind. This app is a very important selling feature for a surveillance system. Horrible how the app constantly crashes. ***UPDATE***Uninstalled "hdnet stratus" and installed "hdnet", added camera ip address in the add device section. It works great no crashing. *** now have a new phone S5 and app will not even open hdnet wont show images but app isnt crashing ****

Crash everytime i open the app since i upgraded to samsung S6. Update: after a long wait more than 6 months, the app works again after i updated to the newly release version that supports lollipop.

I typically have to reconnect 2-5 times to view all cameras. Lorex hardware works great. Remote view app is completely worthless. UPDATE.... Finally Lorex updated the app. Works perfectly on Samsung S5. But not working correctly on Samsung Tab S

This app needs an update to display the cameras properly as only the first two out of four work and cameras 3 and 4 don't show either individually or in the chopped up in half 2 camera screens at the top of the main view. Please fix this.

10/18/15 Newest update is working perfectly, even better than before! THANKS LOREX!!! Upgraded to Lollipop on Samsung Note 3 recently...Lorex hasn't worked since. App was always crashing before but now nothing. DO NOT BUY LOREX SECURITY SYSTEMS UNTIL THEY FIX MOBILE APP PLEASE!

Lorex has finally updated their app. Works as it did before Lollipop. I would've gave a five but I am still not happy about the amount of time it took for them to update this app.

Thanks for updating this app to work with Lollipop. Back to normal (great).

(Previous review 1 star) Your site said in January that an update to support Lollipop was coming. It's May! We spent a lot of money on a system we can't use, now that our phones have upgraded. (Update) Congratulations! It's now October, and you finally pushed an update for Lollipop out! How exciting! Swann has had the update from their OEM for MONTHS, the same OEM you use, the same software with different branding. It's obvious you don't take support, or your customers seriously, and I will absolutely take this into account the next time I make a purchase! So Marshmallow is fixing to come out. Should we expect the same level of service?

Worked well before Lollipop but started crushing after. Running update didn't help. Opened ticket with Lorex asking for a miraculous APK file mentioned by others. Lorex support has provided the file but mentioned that Playstore version should work as well suggesting uninstall existing program first. I was skeptical but tried anyway. To my surprise, it worked. Connecting to NVR by device ID from Nexus 4.

As stated in many of the other reviews here. This application simply does not work. Crashes constantly. I am very surprised that Lorex appears to have made no attempt to deal with an app that clearly is not working. Very disappointed in Lorex. UPDATE finally works with Lollipop.

Waited a long time for this fix. Used this to replace HD which was crashing.

I was thrilled after waiting a YEAR for the Lorex update to work with Lollipop. It worked...once. Stopped working again immediately thereafter. Brilliant! These developers need to be drawn and quartered.

At this time you don't deserve the five stars, after a year of waiting all you did was do the most simplest update for lollipop. How about a ui redesign.

Finally! Works again on my LG3. Thanks Lorex.

UPDATE: They FINALLY pushed out the SwannView version for Lollipop. Everything is working as it should now. However, they are going to have to earn that 5th STAR back for what they put us through. Same as others have posted. This app stopped working after upgrading to Lollipop 5.1 on Droid Turbo 64. Hope fix will be out soon. Gonna contact Lorex Support directly.

I dread another Android update

Defeated the purpose of having a security system when the app didn't work.

Took them 8 months after Lollipop came out to push an update that fixed compatibility. Terrified to see what happens with my new Samsung Galaxy S7 running Marshmallow.

App is not user friendly. I would highly recommend buying from a different manufacturer.

When I close app then try to open it again, the app blinks then returns to main page. Have to uninstall then reinstall just to view cameras. It's really making me mad and I can't install it on my laptop... Y not?
