About Lorex ECO Stratus

Lorex Eco Stratus allows you to connect to Lorex Eco DVRs featuring the exclusive Lorex Stratus Connectivity service. Lorex Stratus Connectivity allows you to view your cameras on your mobile phone using a simple 3 step setup process. Simply download the app, scan the QR code on the top of your DVR and enter the password to connect to your system. No complicated port forwarding or network configuration is required.

The app allows you to:
- View live video from multiple cameras.
- View recorded video saved on your DVR hard drive.
- Save snapshots and video directly to your device.
- Control PTZ cameras from your phone or tablet.

Prerequisites:
- Android v2.3 and higher supported.
- High-speed Internet access and a router (not included) are required. Please note that an upload speed of 1Mbps is recommended for the best video performance.
- Connect your DVR to your router using an Ethernet cable.

We love this system in our store. W can view all cameras remotely and also use remote playback. Any issues connecting remotely were resolved within 24 hours. Tech support called and the connection to our phone was resolved right away.

I find myself having to re-download this app every few days or so because it just stops working. It sits with the "connecting" running on the DVR page and stays there. I don't know what was done to this app but it needs to be REVERSED.

I cant even use the app away from home, only at home ON WIFI, will not work over mobile data...what's the point of even having the system if you can't view it on the app when your away...this has been going on for a good while now and it's f*ckin irritating is there someone higher to file a complaint or someone who can resolve this issue faster? I give it ZERO stars if it had a option for that

Whenever I open the app, about 85% of time, the cameras I had added previosly are no longer defined and i have to re-add them. Its very annoying; please fix. Otherwise it seems to be a good app.

Seems like I'm always having issues logging onto the cameras. Even at home. Time to update??? WHY CAN I NOT LOG INTO THE CAMERAS!? AND WHY DOES NOONE ANSWER THIS QUESTIONS?! WHO DO WE CONTACT??

Playback needs to be improved. If I scroll through the recording it freezes and I have to start over. I tried scrolling g slower same problem.

Would love to rate it 5 stars, but the live feeds go out constantly on the app. Which is the entire point of having cameras, so you can view them when you are away from home. Yet the live feed is almost never working on the app.

Thanks to another reviewer I followed his advice to uninstall the app anyd then reinstall and add my device. It seems to be working again, however I'm still having issues with remote playback. But I'm able to see live feed again!

Had to uninstall twice and re download twice, still can't connect, works for like a day then done back to square one.... have great wifi on both ends, bunch of bs for $700

New update does not connect. Have installed and reinstalled on phone and tablet. and still does not work. Also not working on lap top and desk top computer. Why have the camera's if you can not monitor. Very disappointed. I do not recommend. Waste of money. Will give 5 stars if I can get it to work for 7 days (but don't think that will happen) 8-24-15 it worked for 4 days and now it's out again. Does lorex care that people spent good money on their product. This is a joke of a company. FIX IT!

I enjoy this app and I have to be completely honest this is probably one of the easiest systems to use on terms of security cameras and CCTV network configuration. There were occasional crashes and stuff but that's to be expected seeing as this is a new app.

This is the error I receive when trying to connect to my system with my smartphone, over max user. What is this error? Haven't been able to connect to the system for the past 2 weeks. Can you fix this immediately?

Pretty useless app, doesn't even work. It used too, but over the network, it doesn't work. On my home wifi and network I can access live feed. New update really killed the function. Before the update, it worked maybe 70% of the time, now, it's 0% of the time. Sucks, because these cameras cost so much money for cheap reliability.

I am very disappointed can not connect to DVR with my Android phone worked the first day I got the cameras and hasn't worked since then. I got these cameras because I have been threatened and needed the added security.

Worked fine then came 2 updates and now it says I am connected but cannot view the camera. Not much use to pay out this money with no gain. Looking back I should have gotten the Samsung set. I see alot of other complaints but they got our money so f us right.

I am unable to connect after this recent update. This is a very common problem that I have to go through after every update. The developer really need to test it thoroughly before putting it in production. It's a shame that users have to go through this hassle every time lorex comes with an update.

This worked OK but not smooth like my 2 other Q-see system I bought along with this system from Costco 9 months ago. I just happened to update this software without reading review prior now it couldn't feed my live cameras. I glad I did buy 2 Q-see system. Please fix it I will upgrade 2 more stars.

After latest update I was not able to log in to view my cameras. I do have a static IP address but was using Device ID to login. I went ahead and logged in using the IP/Domain information and it worked just fine. I figure the latest update messed up logging in using the Device ID but logging in using IP/Domain still works for me.

This worked fine until this last "update". It simply no longer works any device we have now. Tablet, iPhone, Galaxy S5, nothing works anymore! TWO MONTHS LATER and it still doesn't work. Do not buy Lorex, this isn't the only issue this company has!!

This app broke on the last update for me, but I contacted Lorex and they said to uninstall the app then reinstall it. After that, I had to enter my login info again but everything worked fine. They should have put those instructions in the release notes.

Lorex says upload speed has to be 1.5mbps but it was working fine before the app update. They don't want to believe they are at fault. I can view live feed for a couple hours after unplugging the DVR but what's the point if I have to unplug and plug in the DVR just to view it every day.

Update messed up the app. I waited a few weeks to see if anything changed with nothing. So I took the shot of demand and reinstalling and live feed works. Loads up faster and I don't have to go through device manager each time to get live feed.

Excellent cameras but live feed never loads, the main point in buying these cameras to keep an eye on the house while at work. Hard to do that when it doesn't work properly. Can reset the box and will work or maybe a day

App worked fine for a week now it will not connect. I have Uninstaller it multiple times and still nothing. Got these cameras for my business so I can monitor when I am out of town. Very disappointed and angry right now. I feel like it was a waste of money to purchase the system. I would have given 5 stars a few days ago

Worked poorly before the update now I have no access at all, reinstalled and only works with wifi. 15 days and still fucked. Time to switch to another provider as this is unacceptable.

When it actually hooks up it does what it should be there has been more connect fail then connecting. It's frustrating and I have to assume there is a better system out there or they seriously need upgrades. Update 3/9/16: don't know what happened but the Canberra never connects now on the mobile......irritating! What now? Please fix!

If the live feed isn't working, reboot the DVR. This fixed any issues I had after the latest update. This fix appears only temporary as it starts acting up again days later requiring another DVR reboot. Still better than no connection at all.

It does not work. We had this running on Samsung smartphone and then the S6 Edge. Then there is an upgrade and now it runs ONLY on our tablet. Cannot get it on laptop, S6 or LG G2. Not sure this was a well thought out or tested upgrade.

I wasted my money buying this. The point for buying this was so when i am away from home i can view my cameras. I was able to do it in the beginning earlier this year. But for the past 3months u cant view when i am not home. When will this issue be fixed?????????

I've had this system for a month now and it works great for me. From the first time i setup my system then downloaded this app, ZERO ISSUES! My recorded play back, no problems. Good picture too. my wife have the Galaxy S 5 that we monitor from. Works great on wifi and 3-4 G lte. The settings are simple and customizable to your liking. Also all of our other devices have not slowed down on our wifi! Wish it had audio but i knew what i was buying when i purchased this system that it didn't have audio. Awesome
