Proclaim Remote

This app is the best remote app (of the major presentation software options). For what it is, it's great. Would love a little more control of the slides, other than just selecting, but it's not a deal breaker.

One problem I'm having is that for some reason, slide change can be incredibly slow. I'm having to change the slide on my tablet with 2 lines of song to go on the current verse to make sure the actual slide changes in time. What causes the differences in the amount of time the slide takes to change?

The app could do well integrating a more user friendly interface. Otherwise, really awesome concept and companion to computer software. Kudos well done!

Theres a few second, visible gap between when the next slide is hit in the app and when it is portrayed. There is no access to the quick screen slides or on screen Bible prompt which really, for our use, makes it worthless. I had to give 3 stars because as a remote it functions well.

I wish the Proclaim Remote used Bluetooth instead of WiFi. I used the Microsoft Office Remote app for android, which uses bluetooth, it responds much faster.

We need it for the chromebook devices please?

I have tried everything and for some reason I can't see the presentation from my phone I need to be able to see what comes up next and it is not showing me just a bunch of empty slides

I've been using proclaim for 2 years now and it's "OK". The remote application is the exact same thing "OK". If course I geeked out the first time I used it but it's not ready for users to control a full service with it. It's kinda clunky and slow. And there's no blank slides for songs?!? What the heck! And I can't add anything?!? No songs, no scriptures!! There's so much potential here don't kill it!!

Proclaim Remote is a good application - with some reservations! As noted by other reviewers, it has a noticeable lag and for that reason is not really suited for running a presentation in real time, especially when projecting song lyrics, as it would be very difficult to keep up with the song and time projection of the lyrics to match what is being sung. I am lead pastor of our church and am trying to use the remote application to help me deliver my messages. This brings me to the "notes" part of the application. I love the feature, but it has some real shortcomings. The first and and greatest of these is the inablity to change the font size of the notes. I would really love to use a confidence monitor to monitor my notes, but since I can't enlarge the font, I can't see them unless the monitor is literally right in front of me. Secondly, I really like the IOS version of the progrram, BUT I am NOT an ipad fan. Therefore, I would prefer to use the Android version, BUT it will only show the current slide, so I can't "see" what is coming next. If it were a better "copy" of the IOS version, it would be great. (Not done, but I'm out of space.)

The remote app is good when it works most of the time, there is still some noticeable lag but I feel like the app and program still needs more optimization. I'm on a droid turbo so not an old phone. Please optimize and results will be better!

Love the app on our Mac but I want to be able to type on the fly with my controller here. Or pull up verses on the fly.

Will not stop crashing

This is a great companion for controlling Proclaim services, but it can be slow and clunky.

Worked fine until updated. Now it won't move past the first few slides. Cannot advance to specific slides. Just like the bible software, it started out great, then went downhill from there.

This is useful for limited situations. To simply control a presentation and advance slides, it is great. However, for teaching or preaching, this app is not yet ready. The notes are not easily usable. You cannot have notes for specific slides. To advance the notes, it is like turning a page. However, the page-break is not controllable, and you may have a good thought broken across pages. It would be nice to have the option to scroll through the speaker notes. Also, scripture references would be more useful if they were able to bring up the passage in a pop-up window. Not ready for teaching and preaching. But useful for simple presentations.

I reviewed the Proclaim remote back in December and gave it 5 stars after a couple of uses. However, the more we used it, the more problems we seemed to have. The problem was, if we didn't touch the remote for more than a few minutes (say, during the Children's Message) it would lock up and there was no way to correct it without disrupting the flow of the service. Needless to say, we're still using Proclaim software, but I can't recommend the remote. When it works like it should, it's fabulous. However, more often than not, it doesn't work like it is supposed to. We're now using our tablet as a confidence monitor and controlling the slides with a small wireless keyboard.

Tried the PC version and worked through the lack of documentation. But this app has no documentation and updates just change the app without explanation. Would give it 4 or 5 stars if there was a smidgen of support but there too all I got was a "Go to the forum" answer. This is always a problem with Logos, and been using their stuff for 15 years and support has always been their weak spot.

This is a great idea, and after installing, it worked first time with a presentation that only had a few slide images. The problems came when I added a song to the presentation (using my desktop pc) it started to give a few issues controlling the presentation from my HTC Desire - it would take a long time to tell me that there is an error... and I have no idea if it's busy thinking, or if it's "live" -- would be helpful to have a more regular dialogue that explained what the app was doing at all times... eg "synchronizing..." or "waiting for server..." or "poor signal... "... anything to help diagnose issues quickly. But otherwise I'm very excited about the concept and look forward to future updates. One other request would be for the application to remember your username and password. Thanks guys!

To me this app is useless on my Evo4G running ICS because of render errors on every presentation.

Working on a template now for my Church.

I have installed and uninstalled the proclaim App to follow presentations at my church but i get a message saying i have to make a presentation first, i just one to view the presentation not make one, also there are no menu options within the proclaim interface all i get is a button to "sign out". Logos seems to work fine and i get the scriptures tied to the presentation

Perfect! The Proclaim remote works exactly as it should. I'm currently working with a 7" tablet and it works fine, but the slide notes are a little small. A 10" tablet or iPad would be even better. Love Proclaim-love the remote. You won't be disappointed.
