Logos Bible for Android
FINALLY a big update for my favorite Bible App, Logos. I've got a larger phone (Pixel 2 XL) and I've got the SPACE for multiple resources to be open at one time ... and now the new App allows me to do just that. In the same way that Google Chrome uses tabs for someone to flip around browser windows, you can skip around resources ... and have multiple resources and workspaces open at one time. That makes things speedy. And for the heavy researcher, Logos gave us the ability to snap a picture of a page to grab all verse references listed on it. That's crazy. So why four stars and not five!? There are a few updates that are needed, but the absolute biggest reason is that we can't yet choose our font! And it's just little updates like that that are needed to make this App all the better. It's a solid App with tons of functionality. Give it a try.
This app has much going for it. It is not just a Bible reading app, (although it has many versions of the Bible), it is commentaries, systematic theologies, and literally 1000s of other books, and other material. If you are the owner of the Logos (now FaithLife) Bible program, you have access to all the material you may have accumulated over the years - in my case, about 2 decades, when I first purchased the program on CD). I cannot commend and recommend this app too highly. It is very sophisticated, yet has only a small footprint on mobile devices - the ultimate size depends on what you download to have available online.
This app is just fantastic. I am in seminary right now and to be able to read my books, do searches and review notes from my iPad and Droid phone is fantastic. This app and program kicks the rear out of Bible Works. To be able to read your content across multiple platforms and devices and access to your notes on the same, is just awsome. This program is one that I used before seminary, during and I can project I will use it even more when I am in a parish.
The app is good and now with Logos 7 Basic features you have a very good Bible app. A few bible translations, a good dictionary and also a decent study bible, in fact I'd say more than just decent. The Faithlife study bible notes are good, they sometimes go in depth and give you deeper insight. The few free resources are OK and with this I am good to go. If you want deeper Bible study, buy the full version. I think this is a great start to Bible study and you you would like this too. It does have little issues here and there, but overall a good app, as good as anything out there. Sometimes I am not able to navigate the study notes or follow links especially in the Lexham Bible Dictionary, but otherwise this I pretty decent.
It is really glitchy for me and fails to provide the services it should. Not user friendly, as apparently it renders parts of my screen unresponsive to touch. I am continuing to use several apps to provide the same services. Sad that this one didn't work, as it would have enabled cutting down apps.
This is a great app for anyone who wishes to further their personal study if the Word of God. It is expensive, but comes in handy for those that may be teaching bible study classes or are in seminary. I recommend that anyone at least purchase the basic package. God bless you all!!
I'm put off from using this app, mostly due to the wasted space on the left of the screen, when the Bible is viewed as 'one verse per line', there is wide guttering, leaving Bible text approx 80% remainder. With mobile screen real-estate at a premium, it's on odd design decision. No other Bible app I've had on my phone does this.
I never stop to wonder how God endowed the children of men with so awesome a talent to develop the this masterpiece. Thanks to logos team. Since i was burged I find it difficult to navigate my way using my phone where i currently have the logos app.
This is by far the best in biblical resouces for lay and clergy alike! Can't grow in my love and knowledge of God's word apart from it. Thank you Logos. I've downloaded it to my LG G4 and Galaxy tablet. Thank you Faithlife for this excellent resource.
For some reason the app didn't work and I uninstalled it and have been using a couple of others for the last few months. I am delighted to find my highlights and notes are still there when I reinstalled it tonight. Happy Day!
I have purchased and used Logos Bible software for years, long before teh advent of cell phone apps. Logos has always offered the most comprehensive collection of resources. I have purchased and used all of the leading Bible apps for my cell phone. I like the Logos app the best, not only for the amazing breadth of resources but also for the user interface. Highly recommended!
Spent $40 to access a bunch of resources OFFLINE, only to find that my own notes and highlites were only available ONLINE. That's just wrong.
Logos is the best Bible app especially if you are already involved in their ecosystem. Even if not it's a great place to start reading God's Word!
This app is great. Now that I am used to it, I use it extensively both for personal study and while teaching. The ability to quickly switch between numerous translations and languages is very useful. I also use the PC version on both my desktop computer and on my laptop.
Long time Logos guy. Best bible app I've ever seen. Love the word study capabilities. Kinda expensive these days unfortunately.
This is the best Bible app out there. When paired with a logos base package it is perfect for getting work done and learning on the go. Even if you don't own logos, it comes with free Bibles and is still a great way to get into the Word.
I'm, glad to be able to carry "most" of my Logos library around w/ me on my portable device with ease of access in almost any situation. I wish there were an option to remove the Lexham English Bible audio book from the app. It takes up valuable phone storage space, but is locked into the app.
Logos Bible Wonderful, comprehensive, and well made. I have an idea: would y'all consider adding a map? of ancient middle East? Like at the back of physical Bibles. Also, could y'all make an option to choose from different fonts?
seems like a good tool but it's sort of complicated hard to find how to find study Bible I'm really at a lost with this one havet to find something that I'll understand how to us the app a little simpler
Would like the sort by most used view as on iPhone. Transliteration fonts are not all there. Apparatus fonts are completely missing. I was spoiled by the iPhone app.
While I absolutely love logos, the app seems to always take far too long with loading any tool or library resources. I'm usually alright with apps that take their time but for me, logos just seems to work exceptionally slowly.
I've recently started using Logos. It has enhanced my prayer life as well as given me tools on how to effectively study the bible. Its as if I've opened up the bible for the very first time!
LOGOS App is the best that has happened to the student of the Bible. All its functions are so helpful and ideal for anyone that wish to embark on deep Bible study. In fact, I love the ability to use all the functions you use in the desktop software. Thank God for the developers and the full entire team at FaithLife and all of the others contributors that make LOGOS software and the LOGOS App for mobile devices, a success and the most powerful tool available to study the Word of God in ways one couldn't imagine.
Simple but powerful. I use this on my mobile for daily reading, but really love how it is in synch with the desktop version that I use for heavier studying. I've been a Logos user for over 6 years and have been very impressed with their product support and free updates all along the way.
The app keeps crashing whenever it opens to the book I was reading and tries to load the highlights I've made.
This Bible app has more than meets the eye. It is terrific for reading and taking notes. It also is an entire library system that you can make add-ons to compliment your Bible study with commentaries, theology books and devotionals. I have over 1,000 books in this system.
Use it everyday, love the highlight and note taking features. I've had this app long enough that as I come back to notes I've made it reminds me of me of insights that the Holy Spirit has given me in the past.
I use this in conjunction with their desktop program and the library I have accumulated since 2007. It is my favourite Bible app. While using all the features requires data or wifi, you can download resources to just offline, which I do often.
Great for what I need. Logos always takes great care to supply trouble-free software and superb content delivery.
This is so far the finest resource that anybody could ask for. I am well pleased and overwhelmed by its content.
I used to love this app but it now crash almost every time I open it. I've sent in 2 feedback requests with no replies.
Essential for every Christian, add notes to passages of scripture and thousands of other books. If you study scripture, this app is the best Possible app you could ever get your paws on. God Bless your study of His Word.
Huge library, just the right options (not too many, not too few), yet some pretty powerful features. I use split screen with an interlinear on the bottom all the time!
Neat and readable. Sadly, search function forgets scope search after first page
Not very techno-dummy friendly. Hard to navigate. Hard to find reading plans. Not sure if I'll keep it....
I very much like that it lets me mark certain words with Kay Arthur's Precept markings so that I can easily see how much a word is repeated.
we need to share the word with all who will listen, JESUS said go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the son, and the Holy Ghost. Matthew 28:19 KJV
I love this app! I use it for my sermon study when I'm on the road and away from my laptop. I have access to all my commentaries, dictionaries, bible dictionaries, books, my exegetical guides and etc... This is a great app!
This is such a great system. Create an account and save all of your notes and highlights in the cloud. I will be putting all my notes and highlights from my prior to Bibles in this application. And you can fire this app up on Windows or Mac as well. So no matter where you are you have access to your notes and highlights and all the study materials that go with this mini version of logos. Someday I hope to be rich enough to be able to buy the logon premium system. But that's a lot of money.

Sigh, I knew I wouldn't like the UI changes. It was nice and simple before. Now it's confusing, too much "animation". Wish there were a setting that would revert to the previous UI.
