UE ROLL

I know this is a low end phone but I just pulled the speaker; which sounds great but the app needs work, out of the box and connected to the speaker and using it currently. The app is a feature that sold me the device but its not working. Also make the notification tone one level since I had to physically put my ear to find the lowest volume setting. App doesn't work. I'll be contacting you UE.

But there is one major flaw. When I launch the app and connect via "smart on", the speaker turns on and connects as expected. However when I switch apps, then switch back to the roll app, it no longer detects the speaker even though the device's Bluetooth is connected to it. The only fix is to force-close and launch the app again.

The latest update has created a buggy POS. App freezes randomly. When trying to double up it thinks my 2nd ue roll is a boom for some reason and then all options lock up. Can't play in stereo anymore....app is complete garbage now.

Connects to one Roll ok but very hit and miss connecting two. Same problem with other android phone using the Boom 2 speakers. Glad UE software developers don't write safety software. Can I get my money back?

When using popular apps like Pandora, and iHeartRadio, only one song comes through the speaker after that song the music does not automatically continue playing through the speaker unless I pause the music and play again or switch stations. The process has to be repeated for every song and it's very annoying. This takes away from my experience of using the speaker. Five stars if this is fixed.

Like every review on here, the update broke the double up feature for me, but I was able to fix that by factory resetting each speaker. To factory reset, with the speaker turned on, hold volume down and power at the same time until you hear a sound. This will turn the speaker off and you're done. Do this to each speaker and it should fix the broken double up feature. I'm sorry if this method doesn't fix the problem for you.

This app works maybe 1/4 of the time. When you double up your speakers the app can't handle it. Bugs out, stops showing the speakers you connected, can't use any of the features. And the double up has issues with one speaker sound constantly cutting out. When it actually works it's nice.

Sometimes I have to load the app twice but its still way cool to turn the speaker on remotely and play music. Especially when you can't remember where you left the speaker. If it's in the house, use the app to turn it on and start playing tunes to find it.

Crap now. I have a roll and boom, can't connect the two anymore stupid up date. It was perfect till you guys messed it up as always, with these apps. Now I have two speakers one is useless pffffff.

Can we please get the ability to change tracks from the Roll itself? The buttons are there, just make it so holding "+" goes to the next track and vice versa. Also, to the guys complaining about doubling up, you can double up easily without the app, Google it.

I'm using only UE Roll in my 2003 pickup simply to have a speaker I can play Pandora, etc. through, as the factory truck radio is not Bluetooth compatible. I've had no trouble whatsoever, all works as it should and it's an exceptional speaker. My question is, I am currently using version 1.8.21 of the UE Roll app. Should I upgrade that at all? (And I have NOT updated the speaker firmware, but I purchased it less than a month ago and as I said it's perfect "ain't broke don't fix it" i guess)

I had the Roll for a couple days before loading the app. Now I have to turn both the Roll and my Samsung S5 almost full blast to get any amount of volume. It really messed things up. I'm relying on tech support to get it back to normal, otherwise I consider the Roll junk. Don't go near this app!

I used to love this app, but with recent updates, I can't power the speaker on and off anymore. I'd also still like to see a visual volume display for the device in the app if I'm taking the time to pull out my phone and look at it while I'm listening.

This is the best thing ever. I have many speakers and none of them have an app. But this, this is just amazing. I love it. This app lets me controls the speaker from a far distance. It also slows me to let my friends connect to it for a dj feel to it. We all thank you for you beautiful creation. I surely appreciate your work put in to this app and speker. Thank you.

Really good app. I use it with Spotify. Set up straight away with 2 speakers no problem in stereo. Sounds amazing and loud! You just have to give it time to connect once you have double tapped the Bluetooth button. Patients!

Says its simple to pair UE ROLL with UE BOOM when its actually a nightmare. It wouldn't kill for the app to have the function to pair different UE speakers instead of trying to force consumers to have only multiple "booms" or "rolls".

Freezes up, doesn't recognize my other ue roll, and when playing songs sometimes the speakers will randomly cut out or become delayed

This app desperately needs a widget. Because there is not way to skip tracks within the app, I would like to put a music player widget and UE widget on one of my home screens. Create a widget or the ability to skip tracks (or manage music at all) and I'll add some stars.

Updated, now speakers never double up. Edit. Still waiting for company to restore functionality. I have two speakers that do not work together anymore. Guess how likely I am to buy more of your stuff.

It was working better now I have difficulty connecting the 2nd speaking and if I do it cuts off here and there. Disappointed!

It is very frustrating app, I can't double up 2 ue roll 2, and ue roll 2 and ue boom 2. Please give us feed back and support! Logitech shame for you!

I recently updated my roll and megaboom apps and speakers. They are now garbage!!

I Roll is connected and playing music but the app won't detect that it is. Rubbish, now I can't use double up.

I like that the rolls are stereo now, but super frustrating to add second roll. Takes several tries. Last time the app thought the second one was a Boom

The app itself works ok but to find a y sort of support is impossible. Customer service takes weeks and then you just get the same generic answers spruced from a script. They don't read the actual responses. Such a shame for what would be a great all round product if they actually helped you... which considering the price point in the market should b a given. Won't b buying anymore ue products.

Sucks and it worked great before mandatory update now it p picks up my second ue roll as a boom and gets all kinds of baffled and I can't use in stereo mode fix this problem

The equalizer is the most important part of this app but it is useless. Please add 50,100hz frequency to equalizer. Least frequency present is 250 hz which is useless because it doesn't help in increasing the base.

When increasing or decreasing the volume, there needs to be a bar graph indicating when you are approaching nin or max volume.... Also, does anyone know how to tell the difference between the UE Roll 1 and 2?

The only thing I don't like is I have spotify so I can't set an alarm because it doesn't connect with spotify

It asked me to update my software. I did so and now it won't connect. Tried resetting the speaker and deleting the app. Nothing.

Great sound and quality are best I have been use playing music day by day all the time seem haven't been any problem. Good for playing music anyway you what too..indoors or outdoors .Thanks Ue roll 2!! Dah..

Double up feature doesn't work when following given instructions. When using double up without the app, launching the app recognises the second roll as a boom. The main feature of the app is currently broken.

I've had it less than one month and it's already acting up. Now it's not even showing up as available blue tooth device.

Dont waste your time with the UE Roll if you plan to pair it with more than one device.

When I connect 2 Rolls, it thinks 1 of them is a Boom, no colour! Won't control them. Very frustrating. C'mon UE, fix it!!!!

Awake app very helpful to connect your ue roll step by step...setting up an alarm very cool and also you can share your speaker with multiple devices to take turns on music..play on ...

I love my roll its great but there should be like a bar or something in the app instead of those buttons

Why not create one unify app for all the Bluetooth speakers. I have roll and boom 2 and it just a hassle to install two apps although pairing work with either app but still hit or miss.

Doesn't double up my ue roll 2 with boom 2 via Bluetooth. Tried everything but still not working. Get your finger out Logitech, people have been posting the ue roll 2 app doesn't work for several months now!

The app is really good, complete and intuitive my only complain is about the double tap function which could replace battery checking for next song due to UE Roll doesn't have microphone imputed. For me it could be more useful than the actual feature.
