Logbook Pro Flight Log for Android
If you're a professional pilot this app is handy because it allows you to log your flights on the go and then upload them to the desktop version of the software. You won't be able to view individual flights from your computer based logbook, only basic currency and logbook totals. I think it's ridiculous that they charge a subscription fee rather than just integrating a wired PC to phone sync option. Logten is better but they develop only for Mac/iPhone & started also charging a subscription fee for mobile.
The reason for this review here is because their website screens all reviews written and deletes the ones that aren't praising them. I have been completely dissatisfied with this software and company since I got it. Their software is not just the mobile fee they advertise, but also the desktop subscription because you are required to have that to use the app. Not enough space for all details but the way they advertise on their website is very misleading. Strongly recommend a different electronic logbook.
The web site documentation is awful. It's recurring fee structure is high. The software is archaic and unintuitive. I'm wholly unimpressed. Basically a glorified spreadsheet.
I've emailed tech support numerous times with no reply. Also, how about making the software available on Mac!? No, I don't want to partition my hard drive with boot camp and Windows... I want a Mac version of the software. Lastly, if i lov one flight on phone and another on tablet, when I sync both devices, ALL flights should show up on ALL devices. Im considering going to a different product.
I need this app to do a lot on an almost daily basis, and it does! It doesn't crash and it provides users with many different ways to customize entries and their logbook. All in all a solid 5 stars.
I really like the ability to sync everything to the cloud.
Great for use with the standard LBP functions. However, there is a lot of room for improvements, and updated functions. Unfortunately it seems that you have to own a IPhone in order to have a stable and useful update. If i could use the apdl on my android device, it would have five stars.
Crashes every time I open it!
$40 a year now for pro mobile and $15 a month to sync schedule. Wow. Many free options out there now. I would rather pay a flat fee for the app. The app is completely useless if you use it and it expires.
Great overhaul, improving the look and feel of this rock solid application.
And constantly improving
Does a great job keeping track of flight times and organizing them for use on government forms and airline applications. My new company's schedule format doesn't appear to work with the schedule importer, and I'm frustrated that it is a monthly subscription for the service. I don't know if my new company's schedule is readable by their schedule importer, and I'd like to test it out before I pay for a monthly service. Other then that, it works great.
The fix appears simple to me. Just create an optional check box that designates a flight as commercial or private carriage, then have the 121 / 135 currency report use that information. Without that the feature is useless. Shows a lack of understanding of the regulations to me.
Can't check if your legal to fly on the road. Have to sinc the desktop version then app to get accurate times. Worthless and charge $40/year? I can use a spreadsheet for free.
As is the case with all Logbook Pro programs, it works pretty well for basic stuff. The annoying thing is it has fields for professional pilots (trip & flight #, duty time, Crew etc) but those fields don't populate your logbook during a synch, you have to buy the way too expensive professional pilot version. Everything is a tease, almost what you want and need but to actually get that, pay a lot more. Sure the app is free but without paying for the cloud synch it's pretty pointless. Overall, annoying.
I have experience in several platforms but have been able to keep track of them all while logging on the go. I am a big fan and the syncability is a fantastic feature.
Had to use this for work and have kept on using now that I have switched companies. A little on the pricey side.
standard performance...
Makes quick logbook checks easy.
Best app ! I recommend !
Like it. Very handy
Easy to use.
Been using it for a few years now. Very user friendly. Makes keeping your logbook up to date cake.
If the devs want to make a mobile program (app), then they should make it full-featured. Making a "free" mobile app, but requiring a paid desktop version in order to have it fully functional? Bait-and-switch. Also, no iOS or Linux versions, only a M$ Windoze port. That the devs know how to program for a Linux environment is obvious: they created an Android app. Uninstalled.

Great app thanks
Pretty good. Wish the internal fields carried over to the desktop program.

I use this app on an almost daily basis. Very reliable and stable as well as good tech support
Does everything. Takes time to figure out. User since the beginning. They are always improving before they need to. Schedule importing is great and Very responsive tech support. Great how to video. Everything. When far117 interface is done it will be even better.
Still lacks the ability to auto calculate night flight time, etc. Like log ten pro
It's not APDL, but it is nice. 3 stars due to not having the ability to import flights by leg and then upload to Logbook Pro desktop as a single-line entry though.
I have been using Logbook Pro and the smartphone client for many years. The first smartphone version I used was for the old Palm devices. This version is better than ever. It is still very user friendly and even has a weather section to check the weather at the locations you select. It seamlessly connects with your desktop program and keeps you updated on your landing and night currency besides transferring all of your data. I highly recommend this program and Android client.
I love it, took a while to convert and enter all my military time but well worth it. Does all the calculations you could want. I wish it direct linked to airline apps, or pilot credentials. Maybe soon.
Great app! Works well with Samsung Galaxy 5. Strange however that sometimes the app will not allow the addition of OOOI times without creating and error although the times are correct
Been using this app since it was APDL on a WinME device. Very handy, makes logging flights much easier. The calendar import is great too. The app could use a few improvements in a couple areas but overall it's a good app to have.
Highly recommended, the best mobile logbook available.
Had a prior issue listed here, but within 24 hours the issue has been resolved by the developer. Great support from the developer. I'd still like to see data entered into History and Certificate information on the desktop display in the app, for those times we'd like to lookup FAA Medical Information or say, the date a certificate was issued.
Dont trust not free ... 5 backups for $19.99 a year... just impossible. GTH sorry can't have 50 annual subscriptions for my flying... tough to earn living by flying.. what they think.

Program has a strong back end structure, syncs well across platforms, and offers online backup and sync for a fee.
