About 1000+ Best Craft Stick Bridges
If you wanna make creation with your child, try this steps to make a bridge together
spend your time with usable thing to do, When they can finish their bridge, it will be very pleasent for them
If you want to work on your own bridge at the same time, go for it!
Here's what you need
-- Popsicle sticks
-- Tape - duct, Scotch, whatever you have
-- Twine
Tools
-- Scissors
Here's what you do
1. Build two towers out of sticks. Let the kid choose the kind and type and size. If it falls, try again. This is science in action! If you want, replicate the Golden Gate Bridge by using a couple of photos as models. At first, you might want to find bridge pictures online and try to make a smaller model, using tape to hold everything together.
2. Now build a road deck - something big enough to connect to with twine but small enough so the main towers can hold it up. You may have to tinker with a few different designs, but I like to use the triangle design you see so often on road decks. There's a reason you see so many triangles on real bridges-they work!
3. Drape the twine over the towers and secure the twine with tape on, say, the floor or your work surface. Pull it as tight as possible, as these main cables will carry a lot of the weight load. You may have to go back and fix your towers. And that's cool. Physics, yo! It's not just for falling asleep in high school anymore.
4. Now, get your road deck in place with tape and then tape or tie smaller pieces of twine from the main cable to the road deck. That's it. You're done. You may need a lot of string. Or you may need a lot of tape. Or you may need a lot of both. Just keep tinkering with it until it feels sturdy enough to support itself.
