The Live Portrait app is something in between. They’re the normal photos you take and print, but they come alive with an embedded video clip that will always be there when you feel like remembering the moment.
Specifically, our mobile app enables photographers, publishers, and content creators to use their traditional printed images as a key to 'unlock' a video to create a more engaging experience.
In today’s digital smartphone world, if the photo is important enough to print, the video clip, which we call ‘a story in every picture’ is equally important.
Photographers:
• Take Live Portraits at the same time you’re taking photos using your existing equipment and current operating workflow. Every photo you take can become a Live Portrait.
• Live Portraits are only viewable by customers who purchase your photos. Our subscription based pricing model gives you control of the initial sale and future subscription income.
How the App Works:
The magic happens when our software analyzes the printed image by creating a mathematical model based on shapes, lines, proportions, colors and other elements. It then matches the model against images already in Live Portrait's database. When a match is found what you see is what looks like a 3D, mapped digital video playing on top of a print…living in the physical world.
Please note that our app scanner ONLY works with printed pictures that have Live Portrait videos enabled.
How to try the app:

3. Scan the sample image(s) on our homepage using our app and see the photo come to life
Live Portrait works with high powered Android devices using 4.0 ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’ or above. Also, Live Portraits work best with a strong internet or Wi-Fi connection.

I work at portrait studio where we do these live portraits. App doesn't always scan all photos that I KNOW has a video attached. I run Android zte maven boss has iPhone 5. Why no problem with his? Still is good app.

I saw this app on the Panasonic Lumix Ad in outdoor photographer and I think it fits the Panasonic model perfectly. I can think of many more applications that this app could be used for. Awesome love this!

When I look at photos I get disappointed when they aren't live Portraits ! Amazing app. Recommend using it !!!
