Some commenters have asked about the purpose of some of the permissions requested by the app. To start, no personal information at all is gathered from within the app.
Permissions:
Read/Write Contact Permissions: The app allows you to add your representative and senators to your contact list. We require read and write access to be able to update those contacts when new information is available or delete former information after an election or other times when they change.
GPS Location: The app can user your current location to find your representative and senators. The only time the GPS is enabled is when you click the "find by location" button and as soon as the information is acquired, the GPS is disabled.
Read/Write Storage: The external storage is used to cache blog and video information.

Feels clunky and slow. Takes a very long time to start the app up. Also feels too much like an iOS port. I'd much rather use the non-mobile designed website.

I would like to read more of the articles put on the app, but I don't know when they are put. Can a notification feature be put so it notifies me when new content is put? Thank you

I found I never opened this app because I already follow CatholicVote on other mediums. This app needs some work. You can only read the blog posts; you can't comment on them or read comments from other people. It downloads photos and stores them in my Gallery? Then I have to clean up after the app and delete them? Not cool. There is also a link to videos but the videos are almost all outdated, I would expect a lot more in such a major election year. CatholicVote will best serve its mission by discontinuing this app and directing their resources elsewhere. There's no content in this app that you can't already get on their Website, Facebook or Twitter feeds.

For a Catholic site, they spend more time flaunting Rick Santorum then getting to the real core of the issues, and the Catholic position on said issues.

The app takes a while to load new stories, even if you just loaded then 5 minutes ago. When you try to open the video tab it crashes. The share button for Twitter won't work. It asks if you want to send a report after a crash but the report never loads.
