Beebdroid (BBC Micro emulator) for Android
Looks like the app has been abandoned. Unlike the near identical Windows version, there is no way to create/load/save your own ssd/dsd discs or to import discs produced from other sources than the pre selected one's. I have lots of ssds from Acorn User, Disk User etc which I can't run. If it was closer to the pc version in functionality, I would give it 5 stars.
Great emulator but it does look a bit abandoned. Was looking forward to loading own roms, fixed touch controls and game pad support. Will there be any more work on it? Thanks for everything so far.
Any chance of working on the joystick control. It's not very good and inaccurate. Fix that and you've got 5 stars!
Issues with the sound make it not nice to use. Fix it and I will give it 5 stars. Other than that OK.
Works fine but I would like to be able to add my own games. Though actually it's not that important because all the famous BBC Micro games are present, Twin Kingdom Valley too.
Have written a lond program and saved it but now I cant open the "no disk" and it says beepdroid has stopped
Developer email just bounces back. Android TV update appears to be dead. So sad as using on screen d-pad is so hard
Would be nice if was updated and we can load disk images, tapes files plus able to add roms. Good app if you want to play a few game that only in the list inside the app.
Keyboard is too small and unresponsive when using a galaxy s8. This makes it very hard to use.
Absolutely loving this, wish i still had my old Acorn Electron. Would love to see bumble and mr whiz available
Great but can you fix the fire button on labyrinth. It doesn't work with the joystick
You can use local disk images by tapping them (with Total Commander, at ;east).
Really good! I had a bbc when I was a kid and this is a solid emulator with some corking games! Highly recommended!!
Could you please add gunsmoke to the games.
Absolutely Brilliant, thank you!
Wicked, a flash from the past. :-)
Poor emulator
Thanks for the update and for removing the ads. I'd love to see more new games such as Exile and the ability to add your own games added. The ability to add game specific key mapping would make this perfect. Keep up the good work! It would be great to see the update to this. If you need help beta testings, give me a shout! UPDATE. Beebdroid isn't working with Android 6.01. Help can you please fix this?
Even the *FX154 command crashes it into a mad loop like my original did. Only way out was a heavy Ctrl alt brk reset . ace!
I loved my BBC model b. This brings back happy memories of playing chuckie egg for hours on end. Would give it 5 stars if you could save game progress. The app just crashes when you try to save
Hi, could you please allow this emulator to be moved and installed on SD card, It was previously moved to SD but for some strange reason it now won't allow it and could you please make some more games available as roms and why do my games disappear after a while?
BBC micro B was my first true home computer. What fun to be able to play chuckie egg and frak again. There are many text adventure games I'd like to ply again but no option to add files. Will this be a new feature ? Please please. I'd gladly pay for this feature to be developed. Many thanks

Check out fiskur's derivative version, it has features missing in this rarely updated saga like GDrive support. LFT encouraged others to contribute to this project; and when they did (fiskur's update), the beebdroid author Reuben Scratton gave him a load of grief for releasing a new (superior) app despite BeebDroid itself being a derivative of B-Em! Scratton had planned to cynically monetize this emu and make you pay £9.99 for each game but Fiskur's update killed that idea by making all games free. LOL
Being a BBC Micro whiz back in the day i was excited to try this, sure you can play games and write code,BUT for the millions of us that have real keyboard attached ou cannot type using the keyboard so given there are way better emus on PC, this is nothing more than a trp down memory lane on Android, Ihave reported this logng time ago and no response, it's worse on a phone too
Back in the day (and that's well over 30 years ago) I was the proud owner of a BBC B - this emulator has taken me back to another world. Thanks guys.
Sound works can see the keyboard but not the actual games. Please help i was realy looking forward to this
I downloaded a disk but the only way i can play it one this emulator is to have a file name but what is the file name ?
Feel this should be called speckydroid lol. Works great some great memories.
Great authentic retro emulator
Loved that game
Works seamlessly
Best emulator ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Couldn't believe it when I found this. Just one issue I have no sound on my galaxy s6 edge. Hope you can fix at some point. I loved my bbc. It was my first computer as a kid. Thank you
Great thanks for fixing the sound issue! How about adding support for the BBC Master range of machines? The other thing that would be helpful for gaming is the ability to remap the keyboard so that I can use it with a Bluetooth controller.

Please fix save/load programs. It's not worth writing larger programs without those features. Brk key didn't work with my short BASIC program. I'm using a Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505). Sort those issues, and if no others come to light I'll upgrade my rating to 5*. I intend writing 6502 assembly programs.
The assembler works well. When load and save are operational it'll be fun to import programs written 3 decades ago sitting on tape and floppy (should be fun to make a MATLAB reader for the cassettes that writes out files for "loading")
Even the *FX154 command crashes it into a mad loop like my original did. Only way out was a heavy Ctrl alt brk reset . ace!

Doesn't seem to be any way to paste code from the Android copy buffer into the emulator (to copy and paste programs for example). Or any working way to save programs once typed in. The games are cool, but for the moment this falls short of a usable emulator. Any chance of getting the 2 above features?
